Convincing win 4-0. Be nice for Wright, Paterson and Sheaf to get some minutes in their legs if we can.

I’d remain the same starting 11. I saw a few comments on Eccles but he played well first half, made a good few challenges in the second. A touch pressed on the ball in the 2nd but did well. Sheaf isn’t match ready and to chuck him in without minutes is risking another setback, keep him rested with a sub appearance. Would be great to see Wright return for minutes also!

Oxford aren’t a high pressing team so I expect a similar game to Preston 1st half with space opening up.

I’d love to see Bassette and Raphael making appearances too, need to get minutes in these lads. Ideal game to keep energy high.
I doubt either of those 2 make the bench if all are fit

If Torp or Sheaf are fit I’d play them ahead of Eccles otherwise unchanged. Hopefully Haji on the bench for this one and can do the 20 mins Paterson did yesterday.

Id take a draw and beat Stoke at home, but think we can win this.
Sheaf looked more off the pace than Paterson when he came on against Preston. I wouldn't start him yet.

I doubt Bassette or Raphael will feature much for the rest of the season, I expect that provided there are few injuries the return of Sheaf, Torp and Wright will ensure that they don't even make the bench.

I do agree but think it's a shame. With the run upcoming of Sheff Utd, Sunderland and Burnley all in a row we can be fairly confident they won't get a sniff.

Looks like those who have bought seats in the Oxford end have been rumbled.
Be interesting to see how Oxford deal with that given their lack of checks and less than a week before the game

Has to be the same team really.

Few extra minutes for Sheaf and hopefully 5 mins for Wright.

Not sure how they can check once you have a ticket. I'm not going to be taking a council tax bill! (Anyway, even if I did it would still show an Oxford postcode, plus I,m a registered OU member).
It was hard in the home end for our 3-3 draw with them a while ago, but I did manage to sit on my hands.

Tbf people said that before Preston and we changed the formation as well as some individuals and looked better for the most part. Can afford to change 1 or 2 i think but wouldn't touch the defence for sure.

How have they been rumbled?

I guess he means the new manager started well but now they haven't scored in 4 games and indeed, have only scored 1 goal in 6 games.

Shame we're not playing these at the CBS. They've only won one away game all season. Their home form is pretty much on par with our own.

Results have dipped for them recently but will still be a tough game.

Should win

Same XI as Saturday

It’s great to even think it’s a should win game. I’m in danger of running ahead of myself on this one. 2 recent trips to Wembley and that 4th goal…So proud of our club and all of a sudden we are in with a chance.

No cup, no squabbling amongst the management and quality players coming back. Oh, and FL is doing well isn’t he?

Oxford are no mugs at home, they have a better record than us at home over the last 6 games. We're in great form but this is the Championship.

If we do want playoffs, I think we need 6/7 points from the next 3.

Get everyone in the home end to take their clothes off and check their tats?

Whatever team we put out this should be 3 points in the bag. Oxford did well for a while but the grind of the championship is begining to tell. Confidence for them is slipping away. BUT we don't want to think it's an easy 3 pointer and must be on our game. Funny thing about football, you never know when your luck changes or on our current run comes to an end when you least expect it. Let's hope we don't drop the ball....

Which is it?

Still the second poorest opposition team i have seen this season (despite the fact we made hard work of the game).

That being said, their home record is better than their away record and they have picked up some decent results. Unsure about what kind of Jan window they had but their recent results haven’t been too bad, so I expect they’ll be up for a fight now.

EDIT - their Jan results were good! Their Feb results however… …

I hope we see a good professional performance and although I’m a take a draw kind of guy, we need to win this one to prepare ourselves for more difficult fixtures ahead.
