• MVE is special.
• Bassette is keen, great work rate, got into some decent positions and has a good burst of pace and power. Reminds me a bit of someone else who used to play up top for us.
• I love watching Kasey Palmer. As frustrating as he can be, his ability to see a pass, and to turn a midfielder in a tight area is brilliant and he is always able to create positive play out of scraps.
• Wembley again ole ole.

Great to keep another clean sheet in the cup. If only we could translate that to the league.

Decent performance. Think Oxford Utd are a very poor side though. A couple of lapses in concentration near the end could have been costly. Need to watch that.
I felt our movement in midfield and upfront was much better than recent.

Bassette, Simms and BTA all going for one position. One of them is going to have to play out wide surely…

With sheaf on we got to final third quicker and got it out wide. That's integral to our formation. Normally we find it hard to move past half way line because of midfield issues

We really do look quite frail at the moment, it's a good job we've had so much if the ball tonight as you just feel like we can concede off every attack.

😂 You joking aren't you? We never looked like conceding tonight. But admittedly Oxford are a poor side and will struggle this season.

Maybe the last few games have damaged me, but they had several chances at the end that could have gone anywhere.
