It’s a silly new rule. It slows the game down. Give each of them a ball and the nearest rolls it to the player.

It's because fans were giving them dogs abuse for giving the ball too quickly to the opposition.
It's no different to the Linesman not being allowed to retrieve the ball.

Players just need a kick up the arse to get the ball more quickly themselves.

Even when we have the ball in hand we take ages to take a throw in. Even when we aren't trying to waste time.

The whole things feels forced and shit. Last seasons genuinely gave me goosebumps. Brought back all those memories. Got me in the mood.

It was brought in to avoid home clubs trying to gain an advantage from the ball boys slowing down/speeding up when it benefitted them. That obviously has the potential to cause issues, especially when there are children involved.

Unfortunately most people are not aware of the rule and give the ball boys abuse because of their ignorance.

I don’t think it is. King not understanding the club leads to these kind of decisions the kids prices. The box prices. Sacking robins how he did and not expecting a backlash.

Why is the video just current players now? Especially when we have no emotional connection to most of them?

Feels like he didn’t want to recognise recent years, but it cuts the continuity of the club and actually does more harm than good.

I’d like to hear why it was changed. TBH a lot of the AV stuff has been fucked up recently so I’m willing to believe it’s just a poor new staff member.

I think you vastly overestimate how involved Doug would be in the editing of a pre match video.

I agree with you, it hits the wrong note now, the players posing is cringeworthy and it should be more focused on highlights (there are still plenty to choose from the current squad, Wolves, Wembley, late winners etc.) Don't think it's part of Doug's masterplan for world domination though.

Most fans don't realise they are only allowed to put the ball back on the cones. It is down to players to get the ball.

Like lots of rules Nick. But the reason it is there is a good one, they are just kids.

What is wrong with the professional footballer, elite athelet, getting their arse in gear and retrieving the ball?

the PA system has always been shit, the arrays they have setup are awful, and id argue that whoever controls it, or whoever set it up doesnt have it set up accurately, and could do with an overhaul. there shouldnt be as much echo as we normally here, whenever they interview someone on the pitch i cant hear a thing.

The videos are naff and spoilt the atmosphere. The 'Sky Blue Mix' is played too early.

WLADITT is played too late and rushed.

You can't hear what's being said, or half of the songs being played.
