It’s a silly new rule. It slows the game down. Give each of them a ball and the nearest rolls it to the player.
The highlights video that would show before each home game showing all of the clubs most memorable moments over the years and it would end on the current season.
The XX was just the band who's song was used

"Without going OTT" > goes OTTThe pre game video is shit now. Crap mumbly “music”, shit players mugging the camera like they’re hot shit, Lampard prominent despite not having any memories to recap. The whole things feels forced and shit. Last seasons genuinely gave me goosebumps. Brought back all those memories. Got me in the mood.
Without going OTT it’s emblematic of the issues since King arrived of ripping the soul out of the club and making it about him and him alone.

Why is the video current players? I think that's self explanatory! Do we want to be playing Cal O'Hare's highlights while he lines up against us for Sheff UtdI don’t think it is. King not understanding the club leads to these kind of decisions the kids prices. The box prices. Sacking robins how he did and not expecting a backlash.
Why is the video just current players now? Especially when we have no emotional connection to most of them?
Feels like he didn’t want to recognise recent years, but it cuts the continuity of the club and actually does more harm than good.
I’d like to hear why it was changed. TBH a lot of the AV stuff has been fucked up recently so I’m willing to believe it’s just a poor new staff member.

I think you vastly overestimate how involved Doug would be in the editing of a pre match video.
I agree with you, it hits the wrong note now, the players posing is cringeworthy and it should be more focused on highlights (there are still plenty to choose from the current squad, Wolves, Wembley, late winners etc.) Don't think it's part of Doug's masterplan for world domination though.

True, I had forgotten about the older ones. Should bring that back although I think sensible to exclude players playing for other championship/English clubs.I mean it was last season? We had Hamers goals and Viks goals And Huckerbys and everyone else’s. Tells the players they’re part of something bigger and they can add their name to the list. Now it comes off like a bunch of teenagers have been given a camera and garage band to big up their grime crew.

Most fans don't realise they are only allowed to put the ball back on the cones. It is down to players to get the ball.
Like lots of rules Nick. But the reason it is there is a good one, they are just kids.Seems it's not really enforced. Plenty of other teams have had ball boys speed up and slow down when they need to this season.
