Where would he fit in? Doesn't he play LW or a 10? LW is our strongest position and Rudi plays more of an 8 at the moment?

I know fans are against a 2 year deal but I think a wage cut and 6 months with the option of another year seems like a sensible compromise

It's not even like we're taking him on blind, Lampard has been seeing him in training every day. If he makes the call that he's worth keeping on after seeing that then its good enough for me.

He adds some experience around the squad which is worth its weight in gold. He can plug a few gaps here and there. Good option off the bench as well.

Gives him the opportunity to speak to other clubs that missed out on Jan targets too if he's looking for more money.
