Pay Monthly Season Ticket (1 Viewer)

I get the benefits for ST holders, but don't see the point for walk ups or ad hoc attendees. Nothing wrong with paper, as long as there's 0% finance options which I'm sure there will be, as we have it before with Zebra Finance(?).

Be nice if you could book a ticket on your smart phone Saturday morning and use a CCFC membership card to get in on Saturday afternoon.
More and more retail outfits are using Near field communication (NFC) so people just place their phone next to a reader. Not sure if that's an easy step to make on the Ricoh system.

As I said, as time goes on you come out with stuff where we just have to ask and we will get. Then it seems to come out it isn't the case.

Show me where they have asked and been refused ?
I'm not saying it's free but if it costs CCFC £10,000 a year to use the system and we can loose 2 full time ticket office staff it's worth doing just as a cost saving.

Do you think Sisu can ask to buy into the stadium infrastructure though ?
Things like office and shop space could be made available, as could personalisation of the stadium with Signage, posters etc ...... "Home of Coventry City" ala Wasps.
I suspect that they can't ask because they are progressing a JR and building a 'new stadium' and it would be contradictory.

Where have I said it has been asked and refused? I said you keep going on about the club just having to ask for things, people saying it won't happen and then Wasps coming out and saying it won't happen.

If it costs more to use this system, this will be added onto Ticket Prices. Then people will moan...

Do you not think it will still need ticket office staff to manage it and deal with people who still want to use the paper tickets? It would be nice if it was to work, just depends on the costs involved doesn't it?

Yes, that would be nice but like you said would probably be a costly system to set up and and doesn't address the affordability issue. Are any other UK clubs using that technology? What happens if you haven't got a smart phone? How does it work if I buy a group of tickets to take the family?

Would it save 2 people's jobs? Still needs to be administered, still got away tickets every week to sell, still got casuals. I think Ashdown said there were 150k individual customers on ccfc's database when he last asked. You can't be giving 150k cards out on the off chance they might go, and what about tickets for schools?

Don't get me wrong I was happy with he card system for my ST and buying food, just can't see how it's practicable as the all out solution. And again, this is drifting away from the affordability question on the OP.

Wasps have said there will be no changes in ownership. ACL and the ricoh is there's. Why would we invest in the infrastructure when we get no additional benefit from it.

It's an example.
I know it's a bottle neck when we are busy, so the more we can get automatically sorted onto personal electronic cards/devices that will leave more time to deal with queries and those that still want to use the ticket system.
As a season ticket holder at the Ricoh (Pre Northampton) it was great just to go online for cup matches and then turn up on the day and have access.

Nothing has changed in reality though, we still rent off ACL and the ground freehold is owned by CCC.
It still looks more like our ground than their's (at the moment) and 'if' we could commit for the future then it would be nice to get some signs and posters up like Wasps.
After all, effectively Wasps (as tenants) have to ask ACL to do things so why can't we ?

We need to really stop the JR/Stadium nonsense then we can commit to the Ricoh long term and start getting into their systems that allow flexibilities like Monthly Season tickets, 12 Month rolling JSB membership etc. We will need to take a large pinch of salt to do it as fans but their is no other way know.

If they brought in a payment system like they do with Coventry Blaze season tickets then more people will buy one, even if it is a 20% deposit then 4 monthly payments then it would get a lot more people involved. If city want to start getting their fans back then affordable season tickets would be a decent start

Whats the 12 month rolling JB membership? The season isn't for 12 months.

Do we know when season ticket details will be released?

What do people expect the cost to be?

I emailed the club about this last week and they said that they are just waiting for the final details to be agreed and as soon as they know the fans will too. I can't see it being until our league 1 status is confirmed

On the contrary. Everything has changed.

And Do you honestly believe wasps have to ask ACL's permission to put posters up?

The last thing we should be doing is rushing into a long term rent agreement at the Ricoh, let alone investing in the infrastructure of someone else's business.

It won't be so much an issue of permission. I suspect so long as we hand control back over to Wasps in the same state we received it in on a matchday they won't really care (unless we're messing with advertising or things that make them money). The issue will be time, we only have a short period before and after the match, essentially we get control a certain number of hours before KO and hand it back a set number of hours after. Off the top of my head can't remember how many hours but I remember when I was told being surprised how little time we actually had the ground for on a matchday.
