Even our players are calling for the corner.

I think we have fook all chance of winning away after tonight. OK the pitch was waterlogged but their older players just stalled the game.
Why didn’t we bring Ried on later on and mix it up.

Christona, if all they have is stalling the game, surely we have a chance?

It would never have suited Reid, the ball wasn’t running well enough. Right descion not to bring him on, he would have been bullied out of the game.

Penalty or not (probably not) the result was more than fair we missed 2 sitters in the first half aswell
The referee had a bad game , favouring county for much of the match .
I suppose playing like Wimbledon and sitting deep playing long ball guff eventually you concede or allow the opposition to create , county can blame themselves, one of the most negative sides I’ve seen at the Ricoh for some time

Like he did against Morcombe when he kept feeding our fullback in our own half.

Ref was awful about only decision he gave us all game I was in west stand and it looked a foul to me and they were wasting time all game. The weather worked to their advantage, but we will win there no problem.

From the Sky website:

But they were pegged back when referee Gavin Ward wrongly penalised Matt Tootle's tackle on Tom Bayliss four minutes from time, allowing Coventry top-scorer McNulty to net his 27th goal of the season.

I’d say he did it to even it up but based on the rest of the game I’d say he just didn’t have a clue what was going on. Never a pen.

The ref gave us nothing all night. All 50-50s went County's way! Dubious pen but the game was ours to win, swung unfairly in their favour by the ref! Notts best defender tonight BY FAR was the standing water around the penalty area! I think next week's result hangs massively on the standard of the ref were given!

Didn't think it was a pen at the game but looking at the replay I'm not so sure. These days they say the slightest bit of contact is a pen and it looks like Bayliss foot could have been touched.

Would prefer to go back to the days of it needing to be an actual foul rather than any contact but if that's what they're being given for then things like this will be given.

To be fair we got nothing off the ref all night until that.

I was concerned he may be looking to 'even up' his dodgy award but some other clueless halfwit will no doubt do that for him now then.

You’re right, they were awful. It looked a soft penalty, but we deserved it for trying to play football, and they deserved it for the negative way they play the game.
