Yes but with all the play acting by players, refs are being conned all the time. And as the kick was on the opposite side of Thomas to the ref, he would have to have relied on the Asst Ref for help

Even after play stopped he wasn’t in a rush to check on him. And didn’t signal straight away for our physio!
