Didn’t Robins
At the meeting in Warwick with Sheaf and Jamie Allen, the funniest part for me was when Allen's answer to 'who is your most difficult opponent?' replied, after a bit of thinking 'I don't really know their names, or who I'm playing against' or words to that effect :ROFLMAO:. Twas slightly bizarre. He did though refer to facing Man City with De Bruyne, Silva and (forget) in midfield, and said he couldn't get anywhere near them - they lost 9-0!
Not having a go before people start whining but didn’t Robins say Allen is one of the most intelligent at taking on board tactics? Of course, not knowing names doesn’t mean that’s not true, maybe he just doesn’t follow the league and just takes on the notes well in training.

Hope this isn’t another hand grenade…

If you meant I was trying to knock Jamie Allen, I wasn't - maybe he was a bit tired, and couldn't come up with an answer in that moment; I just found it amusing at the time.

No I meant in regard to me pointing out it could be read as contradictory to what Robins has said previously.

You make a good point though, have to be cautious reading too much into off hand comments.

I'm sure someone will have done a line by line analysis of that particular interview.

I don't think it's mad to see Robins sticking with Rudoni at LWB because it worked for 45 mins as a sign he wasn't thinking all that clearly. Let's not edit history and claim it was as tactical masterstroke vs. 'Boro when we played vs. 10 men for most of the game, and overlook that it was a car crash vs. Derby that he took ages to change.

I think it's fair to point to that decision and his sticking with it as a sign that he was being reactionary and hoping something kneejerk stuck. Viveash implemented the box based on his time at Chelsea and the players we had. We landed on 433 as it got a response in an away game last season where we were getting tonked.

Robins was fantastic and I'm sad he's gone. I can see the argument for having given him longer; I can understand King's rationale for making the decision when he did. Like some have pointed out in the thread already, having concerns about the Rudoni decision and MR persisting with it isn't necessarily people having an agenda.

Lake Como or Nuneaton
For a leisurely lunch on a day off from training, the alternatives are:

- Soggy bench outside Shoezone; Sausage Roll; Corned Beef Bake; Jammy Heart Biscuit; can of Lilt
OR
- Sunny terrace overlooking sparkling blue waters; Risotto alla Milanese; Fettucine Alfredo; Mandorlato al Cioccolato; bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore 2019

It’s a no-brainer isn’t it? Those jammy heart biscuits can’t be resisted.

Robins had been in an hour before but had left before the players arrived.

Anyone else find that a bit odd, why wouldn't the Manager say cheerio lads, all the best.

Not very Professional.

Sheaf came across well, I thought.
I was at that game. At the time I was very impressed by Jamie. He was involved in everything Burton did. Got tired though and went off and ended up being nine goals. I was delighted when we bought him. He's been an ok player, nothing special but a very useful squad player for Coventry over last few seasons.
