Having watched the extended highlights where the commentator blamed Dovin for the second goal, I’ve now listened to the ‘Cov Pod’ who blame Grimes for it. Perhaps @Sky Blue Pete you should tell everyone who was really to blame. Your view may well have been obscured from your sofa in fairness

Attack as a team defend as a team
You can’t blame grimes for a goal conceded from a corner at the next phase of play

They’ll be taking a close look at why grimes didn’t jump with the scorer or why Thomas didn’t get closer or why dovin was blocked off and didn’t dive till it was too late
Sometimes you go WTF let’s get up the other end and win the game

So they won’t be blaming Grimes for needlessly giving the ball away in controlled possession on the half way line, but they will blame him for not jumping alongside 6’5 Elliott Moore. Dear me

I was surprised he took it given he didn't take one of the semi final penalties last season. Eccles has been clinical when taking penalties at Wembley and in the cup earlier this season and for me would have been the logical taker from the players on the pitch at the time.
Grimes has scored 10/11 in his career as well.

No one will be blaming anyone for anything
They will look at identifying issues and how things could have been done better

you think for the goal the pass was more relevant than not jumping with the scorer??? Ok

EMC was guilty of not tracking his man back on a number of occasions which left Bidwell badly exposed.
Also, Kitching was taken out off the ball for Oxford's first equaliser, which left a massive hole behind Bidwell which they then exploited.
Another ref making dubious decisions and missing things.
