I thought Rudi was causing us problems defensively by getting pulled out of the middle a lot . I know he got an assist and his attacking intent is why he's in the side but on a day like today we needed all the players to be disciplined and help out defensively.
Wasn't too surprised to see him hooked

I’m a big fan of his but thought MVE was worse.
This distinction is too subtle for meKitching 7 - gets stuck in, makes no serious errors.
Thomas 7 - gets stuck in, makes some minor errors.

Great hairstyle ,you'd think on his money he'd just get a hair transplant .
Their goal did come from a cross where Sakamoto was beaten by their full back though TBFStandouts were Simms and Dovin , both Kitching and Thomas were steady and battling .
Didn't think Rudoni had a good game despite the assist , he was wandering everywhere and leaving us exposed centrally. He's young and can improve that side of his game .
Others were worse than Rudoni however .
Lampard bringing on Sakamoto and EMC helped the wingbacks who were overran for over an hour
Massive win and keeps Wembley in sight
Not sure I agree. MVE certainly didn't have a good game, but until Saka came on he had no support against winger and wing back as Lati was reluctant to move over to the right. His chasing after the loose ball at the end of the game and keeping it alive also led to the winner, even if the keeper helped us after that.
Lati was dreadful , they kept playing their wide players high knowing Lati would leave them space all gameBoils my fucking piss. We’re playing a back 3; the wide CBs job is to cover behind the wing back. Instead they all want to guard the 6 yard box.
Concerned to see Eccles having so little influence on the game. For me, his strength was always in disrupting the opposition, nicking the ball and playing it simple. He did it as well as anyone in this league. Didn’t see much of that today, and he almost looked unfit because he wasn’t even getting close to them. I wonder whether he’s been asked to do things that aren’t natural to him, and maybe his confidence has been affected. Ironic and disappointing after he signed that big contract extension, which you’d think would have given him a massive boost.
No one was lower than a 5, rating players 3 or 4 is pathetic

I thought he was average, same as the others I rated as a 6. He weren’t as awful as some of you are making outfuck me, you think Eccles played as well as Grimes, EMC, Allen and Bidwell?
that’s pathetic

He made a proper vital interception in the first half that would’ve been a very good chance of a goal for them. I thought he did well today.Concerned to see Eccles having so little influence on the game. For me, his strength was always in disrupting the opposition, nicking the ball and playing it simple. ok, fair - entitled to your opinion of course
He also put in some vital blocks and interceptions that could have led to goals had he not done so. I get some of you just don’t rate him for whatever reason so are particularly harsh on himHe completed 15 passes all game

Why oh why doesn't Lati go towards the attacker with the ball? He just runs back in line with him and does not stop the cross! The amount of time he let's the attacker get into our box before he tries to close him down is so worryingLati was dreadful , they kept playing their wide players high knowing Lati would leave them space all game
The thing is that over half your posts are spent slagging off Eccles, even when he was playing better earlier in the season. He really isn't as bad as you think he is!
I can't decide whether I admire the lack of vanity, or am embarrassed for the look of it.
One of the worst performances I can remember for a good while. Dreadful.

He is one that seems to have gone backwards a bit since FL's arrival.Concerned to see Eccles having so little influence on the game. Maybe because this is the first time in his career he's had a new manager come in and he's got to try and impress so he's feeling the pressure a bit. I remember when he was coming through the youth coaches were saying he could be what he wants to be if he just believes in himself.
I think we might be seeing a bit of self doubt creeping in, especially when your new manager was one of the best English midfielders ever.
Eccles has his limitations, but he's certainly capable of being a solid squad member of a good Championship team. Hopefully he starts to regain his confidence soon and I hope that FL puts an arm around his shoulder and gives him encouragement, as I think he's the type of player that would respond better to that.
Made the second goal. BrilliantI’m a big fan of his but thought MVE was worse.
He did a great job getting to the ball before their player but he didn’t get an assist.Good assist for the goal tho
As was holding his head for the disallowed goal.Him trying to claim he was fouled was hilariously desperate.
