Solid at the back, Kelly makes a real difference now he is back.

Walker, amazing alertness and the finish was pinpoint.

Back 4 immense, especially Fadz. Lovely finish from Walker. Hammer some class touches. Probably only Sheaf below par for me tonight but he still worked hard.

Have to say I thought the championship was a step too far for Kelly, but he's proving me wrong so far.

Harsh on Ships. Much better tonight and put a real shift in. Unlucky a couple of times getting beyond the front man and a couple of great passes, particularly the one to put Walker through 1 on 1.

True proving me wrong too...early days.
Sheaf and Hamer help him immensely..

We are solid with those 3 in the middle.

Kelly was class and will again prove his doubters wrong the fitter he gets , you can’t coach someone how to read a game and Kelly does that superbly and rarely loses possession

Also after a poor game against Brum I thought Shipley was back to playing in the way that adds to the teams strengths . When he goes beyond the front man and stretches defences he warrants a place in the side

All round solid 8s with a 9 for Kelly

I desperately want Shipley to do well - I think he plays a vital role in keeping our shape and cutting passing lanes, but I just don't think he was at the same level of the others tonight. Maybe a bit harsh, but a 6 is still a decent score.

I wasn't criticising the 6, only singling him out beneath the others. Entitled to your opinion of course so nothing wrong with it, just felt it was harsh 👍

Marosi - 7 - brave lad. One dodgy moment and a few of his classic kicks into touch when going long looking for wing backs.

Dabo - 7 - back to his best, had a decent game, few heavy touches but he's nearly there.

Hyam - 8 - Mr.Dependable, like seeing him glide forward with the ball at his feet.

McFadz - 8 - Brick wall.

McCallum - 7 - good game, great levels of fitness, occasional wasteful passes, great cross for Hamer's header.

Kelly - 9 - MOTM. Warrior. Great tackle on Wilson 1st half. Wish he played forward passes more because he can do them too.

Sheaf - 7 - not his best game of recent weeks but by no means bad. Does his job well.

Hamer - 8 - poor first 10 mins, but grew into it. Extremely skillful time wasting when substituted. Uses the ball well and not afraid to try things

Giles - 7 - good / our main attacking outlet but felt he made the wrong decisions a few times (shooting when a better pass was on)

Shipley - 7 - good Shipley, always dead after 60 mins, if he shaved that thing off his top lip he'd be a shade lighter so would tire less easier. Convinced he's dyed his hair. Much better this game.

Walker - 8 - didn't stop closing down, great finish, great closing down and running right at the death.

O Hare - 7 - great running at the end. Won the ball off two giants and then won the throw-in off them too.

Ostigard - no idea, looks a unit when he runs onto the pitch so good to scare the Cardiff players.

Ben Wilson - 10 - big take when I was really nervous, thank you Ben.

Relieved and great 3 points

Marosi 6 (Didn't have much to do. Almost caught out a couple of times when dwelling on the ball. Very brave at the end. Just hope it's not a fractured eye socket)
Dabo 8 (Much closer to his norm. Some important defensive work all the way until the end. Harry Wilson didn't get much from him)
McCallum 7 (Pretty consistent game)
Hyam 9 (Pretty faultless against a good striker. Used ball well. One superb defensive header with Moore about to score)
McFadzean (Solid game. Him putting his head in with the high boot coming says it all)
Kelly 9 (motm. What a game. Defensively he was awesome. Cleaned up and played the ball simply. Nice pass for Shipley volley 1st half)
Sheaf 7 (Dodgy pass early on but overall played the ball well)
Hamer 8 (poor set plays but made a number of important interceptions in second half. Should have scored with header but he started the move and made a great run into the box)
Shipley 7 (Did really well first half. Used the ball much better and one great diagonal to Giles. Why he wasn't taken off earlier though I don't understand. He looked shattered)
Giles 8 (Looked our biggest threat. Willing to take on the shot which we have been guilty of not doing. On another day he could have scored a couple)
Walker 8 (Little support early on. Took his goal really well and worked extremely hard until the final whistle)

O'Hare 7 (looked lively and as though he might create something against a tiring defence. Should have come on 10 to 15 minutes earlier I reckon)

I thought Shipley was dreadful tonight...ok he got a couple of chances of which someone with determination may have got there but I know he's home grown I know hes one of our own but he just bottles too much...his tackling is none existent all he does is push players in the back.. his movement without the ball is lazy and before you start defending him watch him the next game ....

Kelly motm for me. 7's all round good solid win without playing at our best. Can somebody tell Marosi that the other team gets the ball when he kicks it off the pitch for no fuckin reason 6 times a game? Other than that really hope he's okay and back between the sticks for our attempt at a 3rd clean sheet in a row. PUSB

I agree in part with what you say but I think he was better tonight and he does make some clever runs an passes. For me I would take him off after an hour. The deficits you highlighted are more pronounced when he is looking shattered which for some reason is a lot earlier than everyone else. Overall I was pleased with his game tonight.

There’s some people on here giving ratings and they didn’t even bother to go. Not sure you can give ratings if you just stay at home watching it on your phone (remember those days?!)

Anyway. Fucking brilliant.
Kelly 9
McFadz, Hyam, McCallum, Hamer and Walker 8
Rest 7

also... would live to know how far Hamer ran tonight. His fitness is ridiculous (I know he got subbed)

Wilson 10.

Walker 10 for that naughty dink.

Mcfadz & Marosi 10 for how brave they were.

Did anyone notice when hamer got a bit excited and did a mid air flying kick and then fouled someone. Just a nasty little terrier inside him trying to come out

Marosi 6 - get well soon
Dabo 7 - getting there fitness wise
McCallum 8 - has been great this season
McFadz 8 - brave performance
Hyam 8 - excellent again
Kelly 8 - motm
Sheaf 6 - OK
Hamer 7 - good but not as involved as in other matches
Giles 6 - prefer him as wing back
Shipley 6 - OK, but needed to go off sooner
Walker 7 - tried hard, a great finish and a poor miss. Looked knackered by the end understandably after all the running he did

they all did well tonight 7+ , just need Sheaf to speed up his brain to his feet and he would be a real quality player

[QUOTE="harvey098, post: 2133429, member: 2225o There was a point he got McFadzean and Dabo mixed up. I don’t even know how that can happen

Have to agree there, would love to play Eakin at snooker would get a lot seven point foul shots.

He gave an update on the Sheff Wednesday score and then seemed to be stuck in a loop. I reckon Oggie wrote something on a piece of paper for him, because he then randomly said Cardiff when talking a about a player.
Haha, yeah...He called one of their players Sheffield Wednesday too.
I find myself agreeing with Oggie about most things.
