Wilson 7 (maybe a little lucky with the Penny shot but was a slight deflection and unsighted. Otherwise gathered everything well on a skiddy pitch)
Dabo 7 (some moments of great skill. Hope his injury isn't serious)
McCallum 6 (pretty off with his passing)
Hyam 6 (did okay but possibly lucky not being sent off with clumsy challenge. Could have been a very different result if he had)
Ostigard 9 (motm. immense defensively. Didn't play like a youngster. His header which Westwood saved was incredible. He was horizontal at shoulder height!)
Sheaf 6 (struggled to get control in midfield)
James 8 (orchestrated well. Chased back well and always looking to attack)
Hamer 7 (passing was off first half but was better in the second)
O'Hare 9 (2 assists and another key pass to Viktor, along with his usual work rate)
Viktor 8 (good run and finish for goal. Should have earned a penalty after some good control. Also willing to chase back and block crosses)
Biamou 7 (unlucky striking the defender's head on the line after Westwood save and his back heel started the move leading to first goal)

Pask 7 ( won some important headers and did little wrong)
Shipley 7 (not greatly involved but some good interchanges and runs into space)
Allen 8 (great injection of energy and pass and move, plus a cool finish for his goal)
Baka 6 (some useful closing down at the end)

Biamou 7/10

Wilson 6 Not much to do-maybe slightly lucky with the spill but understandable in the conditions.

Dabs 7 Took a bit of a hammering a couple of times before he went off-hopefully nothing serious.

McCallum 6 Ok on the whole one or two wayward ones.

Hyam 7 Better than off late-got sold by Ostigard that on another day could have been a red-perhaps returning the favour from last week!

Ostigard 7 Good on the whole and unlucky with the header-one will go in soon.

James 7 Kelly on loan.

Sheaf 6 Got away with one early on but generally not too bad.

O’Hare 7 Man of the match-quieter than usual but 2 bits of quality that ultimately unlocked the door.

Hamer 6 Not sure conditions helped him tonight.

Biamou 6 Put a shift in-maybe should have put his chance away but maybe that’s a bit harsh.

Gyo 7 Had a chance before his goal that he should have done better with but no mistakes second time.

Subs- Pask 6 Done everything expected when he came in for Dabs.

Allen 7 One chance-one goal to seal the deal.

Shipley 6 Reasonable showing-maybe had something to prove.

Baka 5 10 minute cameo.

Robins 8 Could be said it was must win tonight and a good use of the subs at the right time is the leverage people used against the manager in the past-nit tonight I’m afraid.

Wilson 7 - did ok, good distribution, came out well. Clean sheet.

Dabo 7 - he did well but it seems that they’d done their homework on him and kept on him. I’ve watched the injury - foul back - looked a bit cynical from their man. Ligament injury. FFS. Need him in the team.

Ostigard 7 - Good, solid game. Became a bit more creative once Dabo went off. Looked like Pask swapped to hold back

Hyam 6 - a little out of form - hopefully a blip.

McCallum 6 - average game. I do hope he doesn’t become complacent now that he’s got less competition for his team place.

Sheaf 6 - didn’t cost us a goal which is good. Nearly did. Not his worst performance and I can’t help but think that when the weather gets better, pitches dry, - he might really kick in.

Hamer 8 - Wildcard quality player - couple of bad passes, ran forward well, creative, assured.

James 8 - He’s a grown up and it was a grown up performance from him. We’ve missed the maturity of Kelly in the middle.

O Hare 8 - usually rubs around with no product. Delivered today.

Gyokeres 7 - One goalscoring chance that he missed. One half chance he scored. Did well.

Biamou 6 - Did well. Probably hit the woodwork at some point.

Pask 7 - Solid. Didn’t look out of place. Worth starting next week.

Allen 7 - Good from him. Hit the shot first time. Good goal.

Baka 7 - chased and harried. Did his job.

Shipley 6 - Strange substitution.

Wilson: 6.5 - Didn't particularly have much to do. Got quite lucky with the long range effort in the first half but following that he seemed to gather up loose/ariel balls comfortably.
Dabo: 6.5 - Thought he did OK up until he went off but other than one or two bits of skill and one relatively simple interception I didn't notice him do much else. Hopefully not injured long term.
Hyam: 5.5 - Baffled by some of the ratings and feel the win has severely distorted people's perception. Two or three mistakes made and could've been sent off. I feel that he's in desperate need of a rest.
Ostigard: 7 - Defended well, cleared his lines and the leap for his attempt on goal was exceptional. Needs to learn to direct his headers better but he's improving as the season goes on which is great to see.
McCallum: 6 - Thought he did OK was fairly solid throughout. However, I feel his forward play just isn't good enough at times.
Sheaf: 6 - Didn't think it was his best game today. Quite quiet and made a typical mistake. I think he struggles against physical players who close him down quickly.
Hamer: 7 - Just oozes class and his 40 yard strike was great to see.
James: 7 - Much better. Good short passes, wasn't afraid to get stuck in and looked good on the ball whilst under pressure. Often looked to get the ball forward too. I think he could be a real asset to us this season.
O'Hare: 8 - Great performance and his quality as per usual was hugely understated in parts. Got back for everything and was a complete thorn in the side of the opposition. Two fantastic passes for the assists, both coming more or less out of nowhere.
Biamou: 6 - Did OK. Probably was a bit unlucky to not get the goal.
Gyokeres: 7 - Interested to watch more of him. Good finish for the goal, held it up quite well at times and has good feet. I feel he needs a bit of a confidence boost as he looked a bit hesitant for his first chance but the goal should do him the world of good in that regard.

Pask: 6.5 - Impressive effort. Looked strong, athletic and not afraid to get forward. Assuming Dabo is out, lets hope he can keep it up as consistency hasn't been his strong suit in the past.
Baka: 6 - He tried hard and actually put himself about more than usual. Shouldn't be disappointed by that performance at all as he showed some grit in parts.
Allen: 7 - Made a few good runs and did well to get in the position for the goal.
Shipley: 6 - Didn't notice him do much particularly.

Without a doubt. Everything bounced off him and broke down around the lad tonight which is the opposite of what you need from him.

Think that's harsh. I've been his biggest critic all season but thought he was decent tonight save a couple of wayward clearances.

The possible red card challenge was Østigård's mistake not Hyam's, he calls for the header, Hyam moves aside to leave it for him & Østigård completely misjudged it. Hyam did what he had to do to prevent a clear run on goal.

I love Sheaf & was surprised he came off as we needed calm heads on the ball & it's normally what he's really good at but admittedly not his best game tonight & Shipley did fine.

Credit to gyokores today, played out of position, made positive runs all night, took his goal well and tracked back and made a few good blocks.

Really says something if that was his best performance of the season. He ran around a bit and closed the keeper down but that doesn’t constitute a good performance.
He was only on for a short period and did nothing of note

Overall I think they all get a good rounded 7 with O'Hare MOTM 8 and Ostigarrd just behind him on 8.
Ostigarrd gets better with each game and stepped up tonight with McFaz missing. I think he will replace McFaz eventually when Rose comes back, but Mcfaz has proven everyone wrong this season and been very good.
Allen looks very lively and with James and hamer in there might be a better choice than Shipley who still struggles at this level.

Spot on but would have Hyman as a 5.5.

I know. Can’t expect him to do much in 10 mins, It’s Just the fact that people have said they thought he did really well when he came on. In reality all he did was run around and close the keeper down, which is the bare minimum expected of a striker.

I think your dislike of him is clouding your judgement. He used his strength well several times, won flick ons, held it up for others, and generally looked like he had the bit between his teeth.

Frankly he was more effective in 10 mins than Biamou was in 80 but everyone creams themselves over him.

And he actually won a header...fair play to him, we know its a new false dawn but last night he deserved some plaudits and certainly looked far better than Biamous performance

Yeah, he looked well fired up, probably playing for a contract elsewhere, but fair play to him. He looked much more effective, yet he is rewarded with 7s.

Still something more than biamou did

Yeah, I’m not saying “this is the new Baka” I’m just saying credit where it’s due.

did anyone notice Biamous body language in the second half? Just looked really pissed off with every thing. Pulling faces, shrugging and throwing his hands in the air, very Gallic.
Maybe it's something he does all the time and I've only just noticed.

The first one especially. A really well weighted ball in very difficult conditions.

given Wednesdays general thuggishness it was really surprising the way the two midfielders he turned didn't bring him down. Wonder if they were the pair who were on yellows?

Wilson 6 - I've erased that "save" in the first half from my memory.

Dabo 6 - Pretty consistent, gutted to see him go off. Lovely bit of skill to then boot it out of play shortly before going off.

Pask 7 - Wasn't expecting much when he came on but defensively I thought he was really good and helped us see the game out really well.

Ostigard 7 - Insane jump for his header. Had a good game.

Hyam 5 - One very dodgy clearance in second half, could have got sent off.

McCallum 5 - He generally wasn't 'bad' but his passing is god awful at times.

Sheaf 6.5 - Did one very "Sheaf" thing, which we got away with. His forward passing excellent as usual.

Hamer 7 - The usual wild passes to thin air, accompanied by moments of crazy attempts on goal, enthusiastic tracking back and skipping away from people in midfield.

James 8 - Looks a real player, calm and the ball sticks to his feet despite the fact he doesn't seem to do anything particularly quickly.

O Hare 8.5 - Actually didn't get on the ball anywhere near as much as in most other games. His assists, in particular the first, were great. Won some important free kicks at the end.

Gyokeres 7 - Took his goal really well. Looks good technically running with the ball too.

Biamou 6 - Did okay today. Did he have that chance that hit the Wednesday player in the face?

Allen 7 - The energy we needed when he came on. Calm finish.

Baka 6 - Did his best. Should go down when he is fouled.

Shipley 6 - Largely anonymous, other than that run into the box.
You’re right he could’ve been sent off but Hyam was saving Ostigard’s mistake when he pushed their striker over.

I did wonder that. I think they may have had a split second where they both thought the other was going to ‘hit’ him. O’hare just glided through.

Brilliant from O'Hare. Two assists and also set up other chances including one wasted by Gyokeres. Unbelievable that some people don't see what a good player he is.

James is a good signing and pleased with Pask. I hope Dabo is OK.

Biamou unlucky not to score and hope that goal will give Allen some confidence. Wasn't impressed with Gyokeres until the goal but he fought

Lol, Your just bitter as earlier in season you were very vocal... one of the few who actually thought Baka is better than Biamou.

Oh and he was involved in the lead up to our first goal yesterday.

Lol.

Biamou has proved this season he is considerably better even when carrying an injury. Theres a brace of goals coming from Max wouldnt be surprised if he scores against Birmingham and or Forest.

Max was awful last night. There’s brick walls with better first touches and more than once he got in the way of his fellow striker.

But that’s not the point. If you can’t see Baka played well in his cameo yesterday, then you’re being blinded by your dislike of him. He was several levels above where he’s been all season.

Accepting that won’t kill you.

Your delusional. I don't dislike Baka at all.

I suggest you take a look at the ratings from yesterday. Don't take my word for it!!

Just admit you were wrong in the Max and Baka season long argument. argument.

Again, nothing to do with Max. And if you’re saying the hive mind of SBT is infallible, I’ve got some magic beans to sell you.

You seriously don’t think Bakas performance yesterday was better than it has been? Really? Really?

I thought max had a poor game yesterday...couldn’t get in to it. Didn’t really do much wrong...but equally didn’t do much at all.

Baka had a point to prove, had fresh legs and we were defending a lead. He chased well, had a few decent touches and did everything required. Robins I’m sure will have been very pleased with his contribution and will use him again in similar circumstances.
