In his biggest critic, but the first goal was nothing to do with him.
I disagree, he was in no man's land. If he gets dragged out there he needs to get the ball or shoukd stay on his line and leave it for the defenders. He did neither and left an open goal.

I doubt anyone was saving that mate but not seen it back so I'll have a look again.

I've not seen it back yet either tbf, it was more his wandering than expecting him to make a save. At least if he's there the player gas to think and hesitation could mean someone getting a block in.

End of the day, was awful from Grimes and put us in trouble.
And I say that as someone who thinks he's been a fantastic signing

Yeah definitely his fault starting it, but the issue I have is I was expecting Collins to fek up at some time. I don't think I was alone in the gtlround thinking that and it's not a good place for anyone to be.

OK Grimes gave the ball away cheaply.. When they got behind us Dasilva was slow to respond to any danger as always. But Burnley in the box we had plenty of people to deal with it, including Collins as goalkeeper. Defensively in the penalty area it was a collective mess.

The whole defence has to own that one. It was a repetition of our early season form. Both goals were atrocious defending. You can excuse one but not two. All season we have been giving teams two soft goals.

As attacking options EMC, Sakamoto and Torp are squad filler rather than Killer. EMC looks like a cumbersome lower league winger. Sakamoto too predictable. Torp just has no consistency. He struggles to impose himself on games

This side collectively lacks the resilience of the one that got us to the play offs v Luton.

If you have 3 men on you, it means we have 2 men spare elsewhere. You therefore need to draw them in and then move the ball quickly to exploit the overload elsewhere on the pitch. At the minute he's holding on to the ball, having too many touches, slowing the game down and allowing teams to swarm him out.
He had one good moment in the whole game and that was where he drove inside at pace and did a nice reverse ball to Da Silva in space. He needs to be doing more of that but guess he also needs the options to support that.

Thomas 9 MOM

Actually can’t believe Thomas is getting 6’s from a few. I thought that might’ve even been his best game for us. He dove into one challenge second half and got done but apart from that he was unreal all game. Crazy how people can watch the same game and see such different things (not saying I’m right btw, just that we can score a player so differently).

Watched it, and you're right was poor keeping.
Whether he'd have saved it or not if he hadn't gone walkabout is debatable but you still have to wonder what the hell he was doing.
