Burge - 6 not tested much and shaky on a couple of crosses
Grimmer - 8 defended solidly and was one of more dynamic players going forward. Real battler too
Willis - N/A
Davies - 7 defended really well, very strong. Terrible use of ball for most of game though
Stokes - 6 not his best game on the ball but defended well enough
Bayliss - 8 composed on ball, physical in challenge and very dynamic ball carrier, shooting practice required
Doyle - 7 typical Doyle performance. Days like today are where his experience is invaluable
DKE - 8 kept the ball very well in 2nd half. I'm not a huge fan of his but he was good today
Shipley - 6 love his dynamism but his end product was mostly poor today
McNulty - 8 our most skilful player on the pitch, took his goal well. Dreadful pen
Beavon - 5 poor for the 45 mins he was on

Hyam - 7 stood in well, he and Davies looked mostly untroubled
Duck - N/A
Biamou - 6 worked hard but still doesn't look like scoring

Hard to give ratings as we were so poor in the first half.

Burge: 7 - Safe hands today. Kicking was poor at times.

Stokes: 6.5 - At times pretty solid, but still prone to a mistake. Was poor in the first half.

Hyam and Davies: 7.5 - Both really solid.

Grimmer: 6.5 - Obvious why he isn't playing higher, the silly mistakes giving the ball away are too frequent. Poor passes and crosses.

Doyle: 7 - Another solid game.

Bayliss: 7.5 - Poor first half, but brilliant second. As I said last week, he has the flair of a Maddison-type player but is certainly not afraid to get stuck in. Adds a lot more creativity than Kelly.

Shipley: 7 - At times his passing is super, but at times it's poor. Very decent second half.

DKE: 8 - Outstanding second half. Movement was superb, threw himself into tackles and headers and cause them lots of problems.

McNulty: 8 - Looks a lot sharper than earlier in the season. Seems to have lost a bit of timber. His finish was great. Penalty was poor however.

Beavon: 6 - At times looked useful, but he's just a poor version of Biamou.

Subs

Duck: - Not sure how injured he was, but he didn't look interested in the slightest. Can see why Robins hasn't played him.

Biamou: 8 - Was superb. Won headers, kept the ball well and worked his socks off. Absolutely desperate for him to score and he almost did with an unfortunate disallowed goal.

Burge was kicking into wind so difficult , but he did OK and worth a 7

DKE 4? Any reasoning for that? I only caught a bit on the radio but they seemed to say he played well second half, and the 2 ratings above yours give him an 8. Not having a pop, just genuinely interested in your thoughts, as 4 is a pretty low rating.

I only watched on a stream, which itself kept blanking out, so my opinion is not as good as others here. However I thought that DKE played very well, and that Doyle was excellent. I also think it's a possibility (and no more than that) that Duck was feigning injury due to petulance - simply because the challenge looked so innocuous and occurred almost immediately after he came on.

thought exactly the same when I read that. Fair difference in the rating for DKE.

Burge 6 - didn't have much to do even once we went ahead
Grimmer 7 - makes mistakes but gets up and down the pitch all day offering an outlet
Stokes 6 - defensively solid but distribution not so good first half (which was often down to a lack of players showing for him)
Willis 6 - not on long really
Davies 7 - puts his body on the line, great block of a goal bound shot in the first half
Doyle 7 - generally did his job well
DKE 8 - industrious and showed his heart, had cramp near the end
Bayliss 7 - anonymous first half and didn't pick up any loose balls, stepped up second half and was impressive driving us forward
Shipley 6 - he's a bit hit and miss but has settled into his role pretty well, unlucky not to score with an effort second half
McNulty 7 - was quiet first half but his movement and first touch sets him apart, crap penalty though!
Beavon 4 - completely anonymous, I like him as a player but he just doesn't fit in with this system

Subs
Nazon 0 - like others I'm dubious about the injury
Hyam 7 - solid like Davies
Biamou 7 - I always think we look more cohesive with him in the side, nearly put McNulty through with a nice ball

DKE had one of his best games yesterday for us. Was up there with Davies, Bayliss and McNulty as mom

Wish he'd had the confidence to put his boot through the ball and shoot when he was through on goal though. Otherwise I agree.

For me its like myself or you stu playinh for cov. We are passengers whilst the proffesionals do all the hatd work. We might pop up in proximity of ball and once k a while make a simple pass to someone 1 foot away bit other than that we do little to impaxt game

On top.of that he ca t eve get shots on target

For me he is just not good enough.cov kid or not.

I hope he proves.me wrong of course etc

The real chances he skewered wide

Also when he did do well and got to byline he should have flashe dit accross 6 yard box he did a tame pull back

Maybe a 4 is harsh but he no way deserves similar to marks to other players imo

Burge 7
Grimmer 7
Davies 8
Hyam 7....looked shaky initially but got better and better
Stokes 7

Shipley 8, i thought he had one of his better games
Doyle 7
Bayliss. 9 ROLLS ROYCE
DKE 7, wasnt as bad as i thought he would be

McNulty 8.5, Superb worked socks off
Beavon 6 , tactics didnt help him first half.

Duck 0, Get rid, not interested, not a team player, a fucking disgrace. Attitude getting worse game by game shane really as we gave him every opportunity.

Biamou, 7 not half as gifted as Nazon, but has heart, desire and sweats for the shirt.
