All the time? Seriously?
There was one point in his career here where he was virtually impossible to play against for the opposition. Totally unstoppable.
Gross hyperbole

Dele Adebola:
Dele Adebola was crap
Exactly what I was talking about in him being unstoppable at times though. Sometimes he would get the ball and simply no defender could stop him.Exactly hardly a top 20 is it
No way. Gave away possession cheaply for their goal.I thought Thomas was hands down MOTM,
Totally deceiving performance - looked great in areas that don't hurt a team but his decision making/execution was horrendous once he got around the 18 yard box. That run to the edge of the box where he spooned a shot over instead of slipping in a completely unmarked Bayliss was criminal and should have killed the game. Loads of potential and nice to have a quick out and out winger but needs to work on his composure.I thought Thomas was hands down MOTM,
Yes, thought he was crap :emoji_thumbsup:he was a donkey
Burge - 6 - Looked a lot more assured than LOB and made a good save in the first half after their player had walked round 6 of our defenders. Looked like he should have done better at his near post for the goal.
Grimmer - 5 - Solid defensively for most of the game but got beat far too easily on the inside for their goal. Couple of ropey crosses too. Highlighted exactly the reasons why Robins wanted an upgrade in that position.
Willis - 7 - Handled the big fella well.
Hyam - 7 - Good on the ball although took him a while to get used to the barrage he was under.
Mason - 8 - Looked much better with Shipley in front of him and they already looked like they had a good understanding. Assist for the goal with a good cross.
Doyle - 8 - MOTM. Gillingham played into his hands really by bypassing midfield and he mopped up all the loose knock downs from their big number 9. Kept his passing much shorter today too, on the whole.
Bayliss - 6 - Didn't look out of place down the middle today but Gillingham didn't play much down the middle either. The counter attacks from their long balls suited his game but he was again wasteful on occasions where a more composed pass would have lead to a goal.
Thomas - 6 - Absolutely 0 end product where it mattered. Weak shots cutting inside, poor final balls and was the primary reason we only scored once today. Ryan Kent levels of wasteful.
Shipley - 7 - Got up and down superbly and played a lot of nice passing with Bayliss, Mason, Andreu. Protected his fullback who had his best game because of it.
Andreu - 6 - Mixed bag today. Looked too good for this league at times and then squandered possession with odd passes at other times. I guess that's what you get with a creative player in the hole but he did link the attack with the midfield very well at times.
JCH - 7.5 - Good hold up play, great header for the goal, didn't go down as much first half and looked stronger than last year. 2nd half looked tired and tried to buy more fouls.
Robins - 7 - 2nd season in a row that an injury has forced a formation change for the better of the team. Lucky Manager! Could have made his changes earlier again especially as Gillingham had no fresh legs to bring on. Been handed a very good platform to build on now though.
Burge - 6
Grimmer - 6
Hyam - 7
Willis - 6
Mason - 7
Doyle - 7
Bayliss - 6
Andreu - 7
Shipley - 7
Thomas - 7
JCH - 8 -gets the 8 as he battled on and looked like he should have been taken off earlier due to injury
Do I detect you are not a big fan of flair players?
Thomas and Ryan Kent are players who get people out of their seats and are a joy to watch surely?
At this level, those sort of players rarely have an end product, so while they can, on occasion, be enjoyable to watch they don't necessarily help a team win. A consistent 7 out of 10 player is probably more valuable and effective in this league that a flair player who can't produce the goods on a regular basis.

Seen the goals and misses now. Incredibly harsh on burge to say he was at fault. Some poor finishing by us though
How that lad scored that is beyond me to get passed the right back Grimmer and score from that angle is not goodWent through his legs didn’t it?
It’s a great bit of play. Often you just have to say bloody well done. Should have been 3-1 anywayHow that lad scored that is beyond me to get passed the right back Grimmer and score from that angle is not good
enough.

Anyone else try to press play?Keepers get beat through their legs all the time BUT I dunno why he felt the need to leave his post and close the player down though, there's no angle to reduce. Just reduced his reaction time, wasn't set properly and made himself vulnerable to a pull back.

He doesn't seem the brightest to me and his weakest areas seem to coincide with whenever he has time to think - kicking, coming off his line etc
Yes, me.:emoji_angry:Anyone else try to press play?
