Radio reporting some had Brown MOTM lol for me he’s nowhere near Brandon Mason worries me in possession positioning is awful he gets caught out time and time again.
Sorry mate I quoted wrong post.
I meant to quote steve82s
Not sure how chaplin warrants a 7. Was fairly anonymous. Clarke-harris spent al game winning headers holding tge ball up and chasing down defenders and you give him 5. Odd. Very oddBurge 6 – got away with a few things today
Sterling 7 – has improved beyond recognition from his early performances (and needed to)
Willis 8 – a couple of embarrassing mistakes when attacking, but fantastic at the back
Davies 8 – a centre half to build around
Brown 5 – haircut like Willian, played like will.i.am at times (but I’m confident he’ll come good)
Doyle 5 – the usual workrate, but created almost nothing, especially second half
Bayliss 6 – in this current role, needs to cut out the fancy stuff in his own half, have to find a way to play him further up the pitch
Thomas 9 – a fine goal and was a total nuisance to Doncaster the whole game
Hiwula 8 – played out of position and worked so hard, showed his pedigree with the goal
JCH 5 – sorry, I can see he has skill for a big man, but ponderous today, sometimes almost motionless
Chaplin 7 – thought he worked hard without much service
Jones 6 – not sure what he did so wrong? Will naturally take a while to get back to his best.
Ogogo 6 – given a strange role when he came on
Kelly 6 – more of an all-rounder than Bayliss, maybe the change saved the day
Jones looks disinterested? Seriously?Burge 7 ... kicking back to last season but handling spot on
Sterling 7 ... has grown into the season and provides some great crosses
Willis 8 ... was excellent throughout and could have put the game to bed
Davies 9 ... man mountain who once again blocked headed and cleared all danger
Brown 6 ... not one if his best days ... superb block at the end but illness showed
Doyle 7 ... is pivotal to our formation but looked leggy following a run if midweek games
Bayliss 6 ... first half like the Bayliss we know of old ... second half like the Bayliss of recent games ... right to be hooked
Thomas 8 ... great energy and team ethic ... deserved his goal and worked until his legs gave way
Hiwula 6 ... took his goal well but all else was poor ... rightly hooked
Chaplin 6 ... found it hard to get involved and was chasing shadows
JCH 6 ... is holding up play well but should have been bollocjed for lazily standing offside during move in dying seconds that nearly cost us 2 points
.............
Kelly 5 ... looks unfit
Jones 5 ... looks disinterested
Ogofo
Burge - 6 Not a huge amount to do but didn't make any major errors
Brown - 6 Seems wildly inconsistent. He made some good last ditch tackles/blocks today but often these came about as he was out of position or behind play.
Willis - 8 Did make a few glaring errors in the opposition's penalty area but he was dominant in ours.
Davies - 8 Some important blocks and defended well. Looks a real threat at set pieces also and was denied by a great save.
Sterling - 7 Still improving and looking ever more like a prospect for Chelsea.
Hiwula - 6 Nice finish, didn't do much wrong.
Doyle - 6 Generally played well. Set-pieces were a bit variable and I think a lot of our play was focused wide.
Bayliss - 6 Showed a few flashes of talent going forward but I suspect he came off on 60 minutes as MR wanted a more combative CM.
Thomas - 9 Outstanding & never gave up (even when knackered). I'm so pleased he scored and can see him being integral to our season if he keep improving.
JCH - 6 Saw a few of his limitations today. He battled well but it wasn't one of his better games.
Chaplin - 6 Really quiet.
Kelly - 6
Ogogo - 5
Jones - 5
So who penalised him for miss and poor cross?!!! LOL I am confused! You had a shocker here son!
uncharacteristic for you to make a error, a school boy one at that.
Mistaken identity from our photos.... I’ve yet to rate but your man did well, yes he should of buried the shot from so close but you’ll see that at the top of the game too, cannot penalise him alone that’s just football.

Or cross the centre line to hit? Some of the contributors on this thread sound like the types you cross the road to avoid
He's 29 not 19, if hes only learning now that giving a free kick away is better than a penalty I'd be worried.Last few games Brown is making sure he challenges outside the box so gives a free kick away and breaks down a dangerous attack. Think that means he is learning. Willis marked down for missing a goal and messing up a cross, He plays CD so keep on at him and he will stop making those runs and not get marked down.
great analysis but shoe in for player of season? hes only just come into the team, willis has been doing it longer for us. there isnt much between them tbh, willis faster, davies stronger. we are lucky, especially when hyam comes in as back up and sometimes plays better!Whatever you think of them, this was the collective opinion of the player raters - and quite a good response this week
MotM Thomas, no surprise and bit of a change as he had joint lowest appreciation against Bradford
Dud of the Match Brown - notwithstanding his goal line clearance and again no surprise given the comments in the matchday thread
Yet again, for the 5th match in a row, Davies is in the top two and is way ahead in a cumulative table for all games. On this basis a shoe in for Player of the Season
Respect for Sterling continues to rise - Most Improved Player?
They have played together in 6 of the last 7 games - Davies has a better score than Willis in 5 out of the 6 gamesgreat analysis but shoe in for player of season? hes only just come into the team, willis has been doing it longer for us. there isnt much between them tbh, willis faster, davies stronger. we are lucky, especially when hyam comes in as back up and sometimes plays better!
but we all know why that is....They have played together in 6 of the last 7 games - Davies has a better score than Willis in 5 out of the 6 games
Why?but we all know why that is....
#canofworms
because the voters can relate to him more than they can willisWhy?
The masses saod Shipley shouldn't be dropped..If Willis was performing better than Davies I am sure people on here would vote accordingly Cc4l trying to be a dictator again instead of listening to the consensus
Ahh i thought we had turned a corner but your still as delusional as everThe masses saod Shipley shouldn't be dropped..
I am always right. Nothing I've said here is any different. They r both playing class. Sometimes Willis better sometimes Davies. I have said a a much in my own ratings. Of anyone says Davies better than Willis 5 game out of 6 they are clearly bias
The end.
I think the ratings system might favour central defenders - Davies Willis and Hyam are all in the top 4 cumulatively. They are very visible on the pitch. But on the other hand you could argue by common consent it is the part of the pitch where we are very strong and Rod McDonald was rightly panned on here last year. Takes your pick
