Jonson Clarke-Harris never really lived up to his potential but still a player we were stupid to let go without giving him a shot at league 1
Jonson Clarke -Harris ( in my opinion) is a better striker than all of the striker's we have at the club at the moment . :jawdrop:

Hang on a minute, is someone suggesting it was a mistake to release Chris Feckin Hussey??? Nurses, nurses, call the nurses, patient is loose!!

I suppose we ought to have held on to Roy bloody O'Donovan as well. I can see the press release now. "We have offered Roy a 5-year contract, in order to secure this asset...."

Graham Withey, entertainment personified. The prototype for Garry Mabbutt's knee.

He was let go because of non football reasons.

Let's just say he rolled up his city career and it went up in smoke

A few of the people we lost were because of inaction re: their contracts running down - Westwood and Cranie spring to mind. Back in the day I was disappointed Joachim went, although he was pants until the last year of his contract when he seemed to actually find some form.

Stephen Elliott for me as he worked his socks off, good finisher, team player, but too injury prone unfortunately.

Not sure if they went on free transfers but ... Josh McQuoid, Cody McDonald, Gary Madine

I would've also given Stephen Elliott another season

Not overly bothered about the rest. Maybe JOB but it was clear he didn't want to be here.

The last bit you mentioned is exactly the reason why it wasn't a bad decision I guess.

42 actually, which coincidently is how many goals he has scored since we let him go for free :)

Problem was that he never looked like scoring 42 for us. When it came to the decision to keep or get rid, the weight of the argument was clearly on the side of binning him off. So he's done well for himself since he's gone, doesn't mean it was the wrong decision at the time.
