The 1 I remember was Kop end and when he picked it out of the net he looked straight at the kop and said to us "and I'll let the next 1 in ".Was to do with Dave Sexton leaving. How Don Howe (sorry about the pun ) brought him come back or he even wanted to come on loan i'll never know?I think I remember that… at the west terrace end.
I do as well!I think I remember that… at the west terrace end.
No chance. You might along with many more not want him to play but the guy doesn't pick himself, blame anyone blame FL he plcks the team.I seriously think people will turn around and go home if Collins is on that team sheet.
I remember when he came back. He'd been at Villa and Utd on top of what happened before wouldn't have been popular despite him being respected keeper at the level, but he diffused it by coming out last, ran to the edge of the box and put his arms in the air took the pantomime boos, laughed at it and then put in a solid performance. I think may have kept a clean sheet but can't remember. The 1 I remember was Kop end and when he picked it out of the net he looked straight at the kop and said to us "and I'll let the next 1 in ".Was to do with Dave Sexton leaving. How Don Howe (sorry about the pun ) brought him come back or he even wanted to come on loan i'll never know?
That's embarrassingMainly aimed at Collins
Sarcastic cheering when he caught the ball
Shouting 'You're shit ahhhhh' at goal kicks
Booing when he played the ball short
Hardly going to help the team is it

Bizarre behaviour - it’s just social media grandstanding of course.I seriously think people will turn around and go home if Collins is on that team sheet.
Missed this game, but my mate who was there, thought he was close to tears. Very surprised if he starts. Not that I agree with that sort of thing, but he looked like he couldn't have given any less of a shit and he was smiling and joking around straight after the final whistle.
If I was a pro, I wouldn't listen to a group of people who can barely make it up a set of stairs without being out of breath.
That’s nonsense.Missed this game, but my mate who was there, thought he was close to tears. Very surprised if he starts.
How can it be nonsense that he thought that? He could be wrong, of course. That’s nonsense.
Supposedly he’s starting on Boxing Day.
That’s just his general demeanor-looks like a miserable bastard all the time and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile.Missed this game, but my mate who was there, thought he was close to tears. Very surprised if he starts.
Wilson is an extrovert, Collins seems an introvert. You'd expect most keepers to be extroverts, as it takes a certain sort to want to play there. I don't mind Wilson, but I do struggle with Collins. As Wilson is not long back from injury, he probably needs to give Dovin a run, although the left hand side of the defence ( in particular) needs sorting imo. Regardless, Frank Lampard's Coventry will beat Wayne Rooney's Plymouth on Boxing Day, and all will be well for a day or two. Merry Xmas!Been saying for ages that both Wilson and Collins are poor keepers just that Wilson is slightly less so
We have to go with Dovin and stick with him for the foreseeable, he has to be the best of the 3 surely
Not hardy enough I'd think, successful team but one struggling near the bottom?Been saying for ages that both Wilson and Collins are poor keepers just that Wilson is slightly less so

it’s just fucking stupid though isn’t it.The point at the minute seems to be booing v’s not booing and everyone of course is entitled to do what they like if they have payed their money.
our fans have never been the smartest but that this is hard to understand is a new one for me

Do you want your team to win? Yes
Does booing your goalkeeper risk making things worse? Yes
Does that reduce the chances we win? Yes

Give over our stadium has always had a bunch of fucking morons on it ffs. The crowd hasn't slipped away and been replaced by a new one with Robins for goodness sake.just another sign we are no longer the fans we were- demanding of instant success, looking for sackings at the first run of bad form- we’re just the same as everyone else now.

Well there's definitely some that would be almost gleeful if Lampard failed for sure but they deserve about as much attention as 'Haji Shite' crowd. He's got a point.
May be the same fanbase but there's definitely been a change in attitude.
Was inevitable I suppose but still a shame.

OK fair, on that more ST sales means more morons. Its a problem you want. Unfortunately if a large amount of people bought tickets just because they hoped for a tilt at promotion then I guess they are going to be a bit pissed off.Nah, it's more than that. Pre dates any talk of Robins going.
But when you get to the brink of promotion, finally splash some cash and get record ST sales year on year expectations are bound to change.
Be good if we could get back to the atmosphere at the CBS we had in our first season back after St Andrews/covid, and the away atmosphere could do with picking up again. Not been great.

From a business point of view the home form has been unacceptable, that's the main reason I keep saying it needs sorting asap. You want those sales, idiots or not.

Smaller crowd that are used to coughing up money to watch the team whether it's shite or not are obviously more together than a swollen more expectant crowd, its totally normal and it's a problem you want in reality. There used to be a togetherness, a sense of identity, there would be noise whether we were winning or losing, it was like really being a part of something, and promotion tilts came along off the back of it, not the other way round. Now we just sit there expecting the promotion tilt and instead of turning up and having the place rocking from the 1st minute, we’re back to the old rhetoric of ‘give us something to shout about first’. I’d say the atmosphere the CBS used to drum up was worth a goal on its own. Very different now, because now, as you say, a big chunk of people see it as a transaction- “I’ve paid my money now entertain me and win and I’ll sit here until you do that”. A good run of results could change it all, so let’s see.
Absolutely! But then of course some will real out the old”preferred it in L2 when it was the hardcore and 8,9000 of us were rattling around in the stadium”.Yeah, I'd hate a drop off because I do enjoy games much more with 25k plus crowds.
A lot of the 'new' ST holders I know were attendees who would go to a few games a year who've now gone all in so they're not new supporters as such .

The St Andrews crowd was the most together I've ever seen but I'm not sure I want to go back.
You're making out its a bad thing though? Most people prefer the atmosphere of a fullish house whether they think the fans are 'together' or not. It's also financially important we keep those crowds. That’s exactly why I said it was inevitable.
