Ali G (I kid you not) and his mates weren’t very happy in Tescos car park about ‘30 lads’ giving them a bit of a shoeing.
Ali G was amongst the Year 12s furious at us for most of the match. Very scary bunch (if you were Year 10 maybe). There was one special chap in a black T shirt who when Vik scored acted like he was King Kongs harder brother. A few seconds later a plastic bottle was lobbed from our side which fell a few metres from him on the netting and then King Kongs tougher sibling started moaning about it like an old woman to the stewards and police.

They are celebrating chasing a few kids in shirts like they've won the league on twitter.

They are a joke of a club

There’s only one team that plays in the city of Manchester and that’s City. The other plays in the City of Salford
I have often heard that, it’s rubbish United-City has always been more than 50/50 from Manchester to United and yes MU attract a lot more from surrounding areas and towns the clue is home gates MU has filled Old Trafford regardless of capacity for years, City only lately.

I wonder if anyone’s ever bothered to do a Cov / Leicester / Brum / Villa map.

Majority Cov all around the City borders, stretching East to Rugby and North to Bedworth/Nuneaton.

Hinckley 70/30 Leicester to Cov.

Everything West of Allesley the amount of City fans drop off quickly and become majority Villa/Blues.

Stretching South to Stratford-upon-Avon.

Fuck knows how Villa/Blues work now. Think they used to be quite clearly cut areas but now it's a wash.

I'm not sure Rugby has a majority of CCFC fans. When I was at school in late 70s most kids supported Leeds & Liverpool and the Man Utd Rugby Reds had over 300 members. As I got older and went regularly to pubs in town centre I would regularly see as many Newcastle, Man City, Leicester, Man Utd & Leeds fans as CCFC fans.

I think it depends on which satellite town big city residents go to.

Big influx of students and Poles etc. into the City and people working less in city centre factories means that a lot of ex Cov folk move to Bedworth / Rugby / Leam. I guess Leicester folk have moved to Hinckley.

(Going off at a tangent) Maybe that contributed to Hinckley going from having two reasonably well supported non-league clubs to one then not really any. Leicester folk move in, loads of kids in the schools With Leicester tops, difficult to get new Hinckley fans.

As for Rugby, probably lots of ex. Cov families and kids wearing sky blue tops influences other kids to do the same.

This is of course a good thing.
