So on Twitter if someone liked s comment by Tommy Robinson, say, and they had some association with a football club I support - I would be wrong to comment my objection to it?

That would be up to you and what your objection is. 'Our Tommeh' is an objectionable individual and usually I mute or block and then unfollow anyone who has anything positive to say about him. I don't go out of my way to seek out those who like or support him and don't find it necessary to police those that do.
