Dare I say Luton falls into the same category?I said he needed a win from the two home games, he got that and nothing more.
You look at our games coming up - Preston, QPR, Luton, Boro, Derby, Sunderland, Sheff U, Burnley.
QPR and Derby are now must wins. I’m really not sure where the points are coming from outside of that tbh. If he doesn’t get those wins it’s probably time to go.
I do agree with you about proper staff who know the game, you can’t buy that with a university degree or diploma or whatever
the thing is, if it isn’t Robins’ job to motivate players, and training, tactics and subs, then what exactly do you suggest IS his job?
He can't do it all on his own, and it's becoming increasingly obvious that there's problems with the new coaching staff (imo).I do agree with you about proper staff who know the game, you can’t buy that with a university degree or diploma or whatever

In. It's King that concerns me.
We have all the pace of a load old age pensioners. In, but he needs to change something.
Whether it's tactics or mindset or both. We're just far too slow in possession, with no clear style of play.
I actually don't think this poll was too soon after the last one. Okay the categories have changed but we've gone from 90% Robins in to 52% in quite a short period of time. That is quite telling to me.I do admire your optimism
how long before though?
The big concern for me is that the players and Robins both spok pre-season about how we were going to play more front-footed, dominant football this season and we'e utterly failed in that regard so far.Unfortunately I’m on the “out” side of the fence, he will be forever a city legend, he deserves tremendous credit for where he has got us. However he’s clearly can’t work with the current crop of players or devise a system that works. Our own system is working against us and stifling our best attacking forwards. He’s a defensive minded manager with a plethora of attacking talent. We were so effective in his system for the play off season because Gyokeres was just that good. He papered over cracks doing it all himself in forward areas alongside the odd late run from Gus. Even with outstanding individuals that season and arguably the best midfield duo of Sheaf/Hamer in the division we still rarely controlled games. We’re in need of a more modern attacking approach that’s proactive during matches.
We have all the pace of a load old age pensioners.
I think this is the most nailed on post I've seen in all my time on the forum. Couldn't have spelt out my own exact thoughts any better.Shouldn't the poll be "are you a city fan through thick and thin"?
Yes we've been shite now for around half a season, and we're all fucking sick of it, but we've had massive changes of staff, and a number of players in and out.
A win yesterday and things would be looking up going into the break. But we are Cov so it's never going to be that simple.
Imo (fwiw) I'm giving MR the whole season, I feel we owe him that for picking the club up out of the gutter and giving us something to be proud of. There were loads of times under SISU were he could of spat his dummy out and fucked off (again) but he stayed and turned it around.
In many respects he's become a victim of his own success, as expextation levels have now rocketed. And he's been badly let down by some players who cant/won't take responsibility when it matters.
I think he needs an experienced no2 ASAP
And we need a couple of experienced heads in in Jan.
Let’s be honest if anyone has changed their mind since the last poll literally a week or so ago it indicates a deep lack of knowledge
Not sure we can give him the whole season. As I have said before at what points do alarm bell ring? We are close to relegation fodder at the moment. I respect him so much for what he has done, but something needs to change. To me 3 matches after international break to sort out 4 points minimum preferably 6 though. If not need to decide on a change to get someone in before January window. At moment because of the rubbish on show have voted for him to go, as fed up of watching the team becoming a choreShouldn't the poll be "are you a city fan through thick and thin"?

Ultimately DK will decide how much longer Robins is given if results do not improve. He’s got good will in the bank which is slowly eroding, I think give him the season . But there’s no manager who I would want to take over at the moment
The point is, we didn't win yesterday, but for me is not that we lost, or any of the other defeats since the slump (however you measure the start of it). But yesterday we had 2 shots on target, 1 which was the goal. That's at home against a team that were below us, in an atmosphere that was crying out for 100% effort from the players.Shouldn't the poll be "are you a city fan through thick and thin"?

The next poll will be at half time of the next game.
Some are emotional and over the top, agreed, however some (like myself) consider all variables/factors before making a decision or forming an opinion like ‘Robins In or Out’.I genuinely worry about the mental health of some on here.
I love this club, had an ST since I was old enough, there through St Andrews, away games, L2, tattoo (which just stays inside the ‘not chavy’ requirements) etc etc - all the super fan stuff.
But some of the emotional outbursts on here are mad.
Said it the other day, how bad was this forum in the L1 relegation season? Genuinely cannot remember, but the entitlement is tragic.

I've been following the club for a long time ,yes I'm an old git, must of the time it's been through thin - thin watching the likes of David Rennie Leigh Jenkinson and a few others play for us. The performances for a while now have been poor yesterday even after we scored I thought what am I doing here because it's ground hog performance again. It can't go on like this . At some point DK will have a choice to make . Fans have there doubt about MR and some support him but no one is chanting for him to go at games. The point is, we didn't win yesterday, but for me is not that we lost, or any of the other defeats since the slump (however you measure the start of it). But yesterday we had 2 shots on target, 1 which was the goal. That's at home against a team that were below us, in an atmosphere that was crying out for 100% effort from the players.
Last season Wednesday were almost relegated, we played them 4 times scoring 9 goals, winning 3 with 1 draw. We were massively better than them, but yesterday they looked better than us despite the money we have spent.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, something is drastically wrong at the club, the players individually are much better than the collective performances, bar a couple of games.
The blame can't be all on MR but some of it must be, and I think it's a culmination of a number of different things anyway.
I'm in the camp of give him more time at the moment, but the problems have to be sorted, and soon.
You say entitlement, I think it’s not entirely unreasonable expectation given what both King and Robins have said.I genuinely worry about the mental health of some on here.

I thought this for just an opinion.Oh really?
I though that's what these polls are for.
It might have been if the SISU director / text a sub bloke was still here.Oh really?

Entitlement ,I watched most of the vast majority of times numerous relegation struggles when we were in Div1/PL , the odd season of joy , of course 1987, then relegation and apart from a couple of decent season we've hardly yet the world in fire. We should fans hope for a bit better than that. You say entitlement, I think it’s not entirely unreasonable expectation given what both King and Robins have said.
King was clear about success needed to come on the back of increased revenues - we have those with ST sales, increased prices, improved merchandise offering etc. His expectation was 3 promotion challenges in 5 seasons. As things are, unlikely to happen this season so we have either had 1 out of three, or 0 out of 2 (dependent on start year, but either way we need to be challenging for each of the next three seasons),
Robins has said we were going to give it a good go this year, and the squad is far better than we have had for some time (Sean Maguire ffs).
Is it any wonder people’s expectations are higher than previously, that’s why so many STs get sold.
Some are emotional and over the top, agreed, however some (like myself) consider all variables/factors before making a decision or forming an opinion like ‘Robins In or Out’.
I don’t feel that MR is the issue, personally. Potentially, mostly everything else could be - players, coaches, infrastructure, owner.
This is what concerns me, on a personal level, all things considered.
This is where stats can be very misleading.we've gone from 90% Robins in to 52% in quite a short period of time. That is quite telling to me.
Feel free.I’m very close to ignoring this idiot

Statisticians are going to disagree with that but even if we count none of the 9ish% last time as on the fence the outs has effectively doubled. No need to properly maths it though coz there is no trigger point for 'out' and just speaking to other fans you get a feeling for it - even the 'ins' are less confident. This is where stats can be very misleading.
You can't compare the 2 polls when a new category has been added.
Yup. I am very much in the "in" camp, but if we lost say the next 4 games in a row, I would definitely be having a rethink.Statisticians are going to disagree with that but even if we count none of the 9ish% last time as on the fence the outs has effectively doubled. Reality is that Robins still has the backing of most fans (I'm 'in' btw) but if we totally no show against Preston, QPR and Luton and are foot of the table... (I can't predict how I will feel) I suspect a lot of us are going to think 'somethings got to change.' We are not there yet though. Give Eccles and Sheaf a bit of a rest - and then let's go to deepdale and do 'em.
