Never seen the other two, but Independence Day?! How were you not entertained?!

It was comically atrocious but having only seen 3 films I don't think anyone should listen to me 😂

Oasis. The odd song aside most of their hits are borrowed riffs from superior songs with word salad nonsense lyrics . The most overrated band in British music history if you ask me. The current excitement about their reunion tour mystifies me.

Ah yes, upstairs of silvers. Those were the days…The dive bar and the Campbell also seemed to let anyone in. The Dog & Trumpet were only slightly more discerning about its clientele. Browns were wankers!

My parents were in the pub trade for almost 30 years and got on with pretty much everyone of the landlords in Coventry , Ken Brown was the only one my dad didn’t like .

Beer, tried both lager & bitter and didn't like either. I never was much of a drinker & I don't understand how for lots of people it is so important, I would rather have a cup of tea

That was always a fucking weird place.

I remember the one time I actually got in, I got to the bar and ordered and then was kicked out for no reason. Every other time, not even allowed in even if it was empty.
That’s about right. I remember one time, during the day, me and my mate had been in town and popped in there. I was 18 and had been to the bank so had all my ID on me. The fuckers still kicked us out for not being old enough.
Being blanked from Browns and the woman on the front door(Ken Brown’s daughter?) became a running joke, and like you say it was often quite empty in there anyway. Weird indeed.

Yeah the woman with the big hair.

Had no idea what their issue was most of the time, if it was now people would be in the telegraph pointing at the door saying they were refused because of their gender.

That’s her. With us it was our one mate that got singled out every time. We used to enjoy taking the piss out of him.

My main Cov regret is never going to the Pink Parrot. That place scared me. But it kinda feels like a bit of ‘rights of passage’ thing I should’ve done.

For the most part by 18 I was in Brum a lot anyway.
