Port Vale Forum Pre Match Interview / Report vrs Coventry (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm the pre-match reporter for the Port Vale Fans Forum One Vale Fan.

Part of my role is to contact fans of our forthcoming opponents to ask them a few questions and gain their views on the upcoming fixture between our sides in order to produce a report which we release on the site a couple of days prior to the game. Some of you kindly contributed to our reverse fixture article and I wondered if some posters would like to take part by answering some different questions.

I wondered if up to three of you have a few minutes and would kindly offer your feelings on the game by answering the following few questions;
1. Tell us a bit about yourself & history as a fan?
2. How are your team doing (current form and in relation to the expectation of fans at the start of the season)?
3. Where you think you will finish in terms of league position?
4. Who should we watch out for (one or more danger player/s)?
5. What are your thoughts on your manager?
6. What are your thoughts on your board & off field club activities?
7. Any views on the current Port Vale team & specific players?
8. Did you attend the reverse fixture earlier this season? If so what were your thoughts on the game?
9. Any views & memories of players / managers that have been involved with both teams?
10. A score prediction (and potential scorers for both sides)?

Please also feel free to include any other information you feel worthy and I will knock it into a report as per the example below regarding contribution from Wigan fans from a game with them;
http://www.onevalefan.co.uk/site/2015/09/wigan-fans-the-jurys-out-on-manager-gary-caldwell/

To enable me to produce this in good time I need a reply by Wednesday and the report should appear on the website a day or two before our fixture.

Please also let me know if you would like me to include your name on the article and if you are prepared to share one a photo of yourself we can utilise with the article.

Many thanks for your potential support in this matter.

Best Regards,

REP

1. James Littlewood im 23 and have been a Coventry fan from the year 2000. My First year watching the club we were relegated from the Premier League and we have got worse every season ever since!!

2. I think like most fans at the start of season i was quiet pessimistic about our chances this season, no real investment in the team just relying on young players in attacking positions but felt we had one of the best managers in the league in Tony Mowbray. The first half of the season has been nothing short of superb for all involved however recently we had dropped dramatically and this has coincided with the decline on home attendances recently.

3. I still fancy Mowbray to get us in the playoffs despite some absolutely ridiculous pleas from some fans to sack him, we still have a good squad at this level and i feel we have more than enough to finish in the top 6.

4. Our most obvious dangerman is of course Adam Armstrong with 17 goals already this season. Very quick and agile and can use both feet - miles too good for League 1! Jacob Murphy is capable of special things if he's up for it but can also be our biggest liability on a bad day. James Maddison is a very special talent but unfortunately was sold today for about 2-3 million less than he should of been - however he's back on loan until the end of the season.

5. Has worked wonders with an average League 1 budget to revitalise the club from recent dark times, have never enjoyed watching Coventry city play like i have in the first half of this season. Have total respect for him but can honestly see him going at the end of the season if we don't go up now his prize asset has been sold for peanuts.

6. Until a few hours ago i was actually beginning to think they have changed their ways and are ready to do the right things to see the club back where they belong. However they waited until the last minute of deadline day to sell James Maddison which has not gave Mowbray the opportunity to reinvest in the squad, i think a lot of Coventry fans share my views on this and are bitterly disappointed.

7. I must be honest and say i don't know a great deal about Port vale at the moment, i do know Micheal o'connors a very good player though i remember him when he was at scunny.

8. Yes i did, was a very hard fought game in which Vale made it very difficult for us. We were on a good run and were destroying teams at the Ricoh but we couldn't seem to Break Vale down. I remember they should of took the lead in the first half a few times! A piece of magic from James Maddison won a tough game on the day.

9. Carl Dickinson had a short loan spell with us, thuggish player!

10. Will be another tough game but hopefully we will come out of this 3 game losing streak and win 2-1 (Armstrong,Hunt) (AJ Leitch-Smith)

Also yes feel free to use my name.
