Flapping a little bit for the first :(

Can see why he hesitated though rather than ploughing through the player and risk being sent off. Rubbish defending though.

Two great finishes from us though.

As I said before and was slammed on here, he has big weaknesses. Very good shot stopper but often pushes ball out for rebounds rather than round the post and regularly gets his angles wrong or makes it easy for the striker when he comes of his line. Did poorly on both goals yesterday. I think their striker was played onside by Adams for the first goal.

I'd agree with that, it definitely lets him down sometimes, as he'll put off a great save, but 2 minutes later make a silly mistake.

Now to the goals, 2 poor goals to condede, but a good goal by Clarke. His movement at the start of the free kick is fantastic.

I don't think anything else needs to be said about Wilson's goal other than "WOW!" :D

You say he has "big weaknesses" overlooking the fact that he is a league one keeper so by definition has weaknesses. He had zero chance on the first goal and the second was a thumping cross by that knucklehead that played for us last year which many keepers would have struggled with.

Carl Dickinson ,a Julian Dicks type of Div3.

It's strange how opinion divides as CWR were questioning how Joe was'nt getting selected for the Ireland squad.

Disagree, first goal was a proper flap, should have cleaned out ball and player. As long as he gets the ball first, no problem.

There are plenty of good keepers in league 1 and 2 without significant weaknesses. His attempt at punching the ball on the first goal was laughable. I don't think he wanted to come out of the area after the last goal in the previous game (trying to head the ball on the half way line.)The second goal the player headed the ball in the 6 yard box 2 yards to the right of the post. For once he didn't shout at the defenders so he knew he should have done better.

Name 5 keepers better than murphy and I will conduct an analysis of their stats.

Port Vale are a very limited side. Adams has done brilliantly in keeping them in the league one comfort zone all season.

Calum seemed to want to wind up the Vale fans after he'd scored - had they been giving him particular stick?

Yep while he's no Svengali he's generally done solid work at most places he's been ,intrigued that he's unwilling to sign a new contract with them.

Foderingham (Swindon), Fon Williams (tranmere), Rudd (Preston), flinders (Hartlepool), Button (brentford)

He makes great point blank saves including penalties but it is the bread and butter stuff, positioning, crosses and not putting the ball round the post that he struggles on. Quite a few games where the opposition have a high goals to shots ratio. For eg Tranmere at home 5 goals 6 shots.

Murphy was poor for the 1st goal but what was Jordan Clarke doing? He's jogging back like he's got all the time in the world. If he'd put some effort into it, he would have been back to clear the ball off the line.

Murphy should have done more with both goals. Especially first.
