Simms has to be out of favour and or being moved on in January.

He's just out of favour. And I agree with it. He hasn't offered much when coming on. He's got to do more.

Appreciate Bassette hasn't found the net much either but the work he does off the ball and the runs he's making to provide out balls means he keeps the shirt.

Both arnt scoring but Bassette currently adds value, whereas Simms doesn't.

Simms will score soon enough and will get the start. But he's got to do more than simply "deserve" a start in people's minds.

Tbf, chopping and changing the team wasn’t doing us any favours with Robins.

Consistency is key and I’m behind keeping the same team. Fuck tiredness.
I think tiredness does play it's part and in busy periods then things will need to be rotated but there still needs consistency and players need to get minutes and form links

I can see the logic in Bassette away from home if we're expecting to have less of the ball
Yes, there’s a logic to it. If anything, you want a more clinical striker to take advantage of set pieces and the odd cross in the box. Bassette will only really offer a lot of energy off the ball. It’s good but hasn’t really yielded too much in terms of chances and/or goal contributions.

Hope he does well today!

I would still start Smms over Bassette. Fans seem seduced by running around and being a nuisance but he rarely ever looks like scoring. Simms came on and had a couple of chances in the last game in a quarter of the time.

I think I've solved the programme situation.

My neighbour works for a local printer company who I think does the printing for Pompey. Probably printed them overnight and he's pinched a couple for me.

although you could say his movement has helped.

Won us a pen and the Millwall goal he was being a pest to the defender which gave EMC a free shot.

Of course it isn't goals and assists which we all want.

Id still like to see them both up front with a decent run to form a partnership but we arent playing that.

I'm soo hungover! Not back to work till the 3rd of January, it's the first week plus I've had off in over 10 years and I got over excited last night 😂 😂. Really could do with a win today to ease the thumping head!!

I would have liked to see Simms and Bidwell start, but as others have said it's good to have some consistency, and with lots of games coming up they'll be starting soon.

Would love a clean sheet but I can't see that happening.

Cov 3-1. Hound, Rudoni, Torp.

As poor as we’ve been, win tomorrow and we could go 10th, not Sure wev‘e got enough for a play off push but we could be right up there after the next 4 games, mad league

From where we are - and until recently having been as low as one place and one point off the relegation places - I would be happy with tenth. I think we will probably make it.

If we can have a decent transfer window next summer and not lose Haji Wright and some of our other top players then I really think we can push for the play-offs next season.

Spot on, think the usual slow starts def done us this season, your right give lampard the summer to add to what’s already there and we’ll be ok, doubt they’ll be the same overhyping as this season,

Not that Da Silva is any good but Bidwell was absolutely appalling against West Brom, can see why Frank's dropped him the last couple of games
