Are you 12? get a pair man and fight back because he's 3 rounds up at the minute!

Life's too short, he's taken up enough of my time already. His posts lack any substance, he's not in the same league as me let alone being 3 rounds up.....He's now on ignore. It's just boring now.

And the irony is...we have squabbling in a thread titled "positivity"...

Anyway, back to the negativity. This is where covcity4life comes back in and calls stupot a c**t, or something. :D

Lol didn't expect the KO so soon.

But he's right about 1 thing. It is boring. He will never change and I will never turn other cheek so it's probably for the best

I'll still buy him a pint if we ever get promoted!

They don't though on the back of a defeat. It is ALL gloom and doom and with blinkers on unfortunately.

Us still only being 6 points behind 1st place after a dreadful defeat has to be a crumb of comfort surely!

6 points behind is fine. 6 points behind when you're in 2 month decline in form is more worrying. Quite frankly though who cares what people think. Some will think we can win the league until it's mathematically impossible, I'm more concerned about holding out top 6. Depends on what factors you concentrate on

This is the bit I don't get. We have been on a bad run. With a bit of luck we would have got a few more points. But although we are on a bad run we are still within reach of a top 2 place. It shows that no club is running away with it yet. The top clubs are all dropping points unexpectedly. Yesterday showed this. We are now going to have a run of what should be easier games. Put a run together and it could be us that pulls away from the rest.

Positivity? Positivity? Otis, I'll give you an example of (my) positivity. After the Chesterfield (A) game, somebody started a thread on points expectancy from the next four games. Based on our indifferent form, after much torturous thought I called it - DLDW = 5pts. We actually recorded 4pts. My outrageous positivity came back to bite me in the butt minus 1 pt!
I think you're applying more 'spin' than anything else to the current 'crisis'. The fact those teams above and around us dropped points y'day only puts a false shine on our continuing dip. I stated recently, whilst acknowledging we deffo won't be going up automatically, we are still very comfortably in the play off pack. I now think we face a battle to stay within that pack. And I'm being positive!

As I have said, the only positive thing to come out of yesterday is the fact that many of those around us dropped point too.

It's only a small crumb of comfort, but still, it just eases the pain a bit and the fact we got out of jail to a degree, I do see as a positive, however small that may be.

Agreed IF we put a run together. I would just comment that has looked less and less likely over a 2 month period. I could be wrong, but would I put my money on automatic promotion? No chance

If TM brings in the right players we could do well. Solid defender and someone who knows where the back of the net is.

Sick of talking football mate, glad you took it in the spirit it was intended

For sure. This place is horrible after a loss!

Still signs.of positivity dotted around

Think hunt may prove to be a good signing and Joe Cole putting people on their arses again a good thing

Look.fwd to sat

That's a different argument which I agree with, but as it stands, not convinced

There are many things that can happen. Like the teams at the top selling their best players or being as unlucky as us with injuries.

We still a great chance of automatic promotion. A couple of signings, get players fit and string together a few wins and we will look back wondering what everyone was getting so worked up for.

An example that things can turn around and turn quickly is Brighton, sitting top of the championship end of November early December. (A bit like us)

They then went on an equally bad run. In fact went 7 games without a win including 3 straight defeats. They dropped top to 5th.

They have now won two on the bounce. And are back up to 3rd.

my point being very similar situation. Just need to turn that corner.

keep up the positivity.

Fine fine you've convinced me for another week but if we don't beat Scunthorpe you can all fuck off!
