Great so will be getting a player who has no 1st team experience. What about giving our own youngsters like Jeffers a chance.

Can anyone tell me in the last 3 years who weve had on loan who has been any good? I can't.

I can't either, CS. However, I have to say that Jeffers just doesn't cut it for me.

Is Raheem Sterling the Liverpool lad that played and scored for England School boys in tournament last year? If so, cool, he looked very good. The lad I recall was a winger, scored a great goal for England School boys. Saying that, can't really pin our hopes on this type of player can we.

not a striker, but i wouldnt mind Ravel Morrison from Man Utd been hearing great reviews about this lad from a lot of Man U fans! Hes winger, could do with some pace. However, think he has had some off the field problems.. (Would suit us really, considering we have Kevin Kyle, Lee Hughes, Marlon King just to name a few)

Houchens Head

Fairly well known member from Malvern
I heard it was Steven Gerrard.

*snort* *grunt* *rubs eyes*

I agree Jeffers is not upto Championship level yet BUT

What annoys me Torch is that we will bring a young player in who one rates for the future but learning his trade with us. I would much rather try and develop our own first.

All depends on who Thorn has in mind but if it’s a player with no experience then I’d rather try our own.

In the last 3 years? Henderson, Van Aanholt, Cork wasn't bad and Stead started off well but faded. 1st 2 were very good though.

Henderson was decent but he left by March/April 2009 didn’t he? I was thinking since then to be honest.

Ward was useless from Bolton, Stead was ok but nothing special. Gardner well he was played out of position.

Last 2 seasons we’ve had nothing which have helped..

That's not fair, you said 3 years!! Ward was useless, you're right (not as useless as Lee Sawyer though!). But that's what you get with loans, some are good, some are bad. You've got to play the system, a lot of teams have done it. I'll give the player coming in a chance always.

Sears was another who was dire.

My point is, we bring in other teams youngsters who usually fail yet if were going to play youngsters then use our own.

pretty sure someone on Twitter would have seen a "i have signed for Cov" tweet by now.

No new players

Just the current squad and Juke listening to the match from his Middlesbrough hotel room

Well, we kind of have been using our own. I know what you're saying but the one's that aren't being used are either a) not good enough or b) really not ready. Any loan signing coming in that is a youngster must be further along in their development than our's that aren't getting in - that's the only thing I can think of. Also, we can't afford more experienced players!!

True, would love to see some experience come in but i know its very doubtful... just feel we need someone special too make much difference and with our budegt we will find it? Otherwise we'd be signing someone for the sake of it... (Cough cough) cody McDonald

Thorn stated Cody was his No1 target.

Thorn says there is a premier league loan signing coming in from one of the top clubs.
Described as a up and coming striker?

Calm down, I think people have told him where Macheda's gone now.

No, I think that's rubbish, to be honest. It's January, chances are we would have got someone in boycott or not. And if it were the case then they would have made sure they got someone in for tomorrow.

As for the boycott. I really don't think SISU give a flying F what some fans do or think. Why should they? They never have before.

SISU care very much about their reputation - they need a good one or investors won't touch them.

As for the "chances are we'd have got someone in boycott or not" are you kidding? This is SISU.
