I genuinely thought Luton would be comfortably rock bottom this season, but Sheffield United look like they're doing their best to beat them to it.

The bottom three are all coming straight back down, looks obvious even this early on.

Gonna be a fluke if any of the promoted teams win a game this season. I think Burnley are one striker-signing away from being ok but Luton and Sheff Utd look totally outclassed in this league so far.

It’s a race to the bottom and Burnley don’t look a lot better
TBF I thought Burnley looked ok last night, I think they will make a decent fight of it. The final relegation place will be between them, Bournemouth and Wolves.

Im sure one of them will beat another and not every game will be a draw

I know watching your team lose 8-0 at home is bad, but watching the highlights at 6-0 - with 20 minutes to go - the home end was half empty. With 10 minutes to go there was just a scattering here and there. Surely they realised it would be a tough season with a lot of losses? If I got to watch City in the Premier League now, I'd be watching every second regardless of the score.

You expect a tough season, you don't expect to lose a home game by over 5 never mind 8 goals. I'd have fucked off when the 4th went in to be quite honest.

Rob Edwards looking back at Luton's first 5 games

“Everyone is way better. The decision-making, the quality… I don’t mean any disrespect to anyone in the Championship, but it really is. The speed things happen, the decision-making, the execution. It’s hard to really comprehend. You can watch lots of Premier League football, and I have done, but then you stand on the touchline — or if you’re a player, you feel it on the pitch — and it’s like a different game.”

I know we'd have struggled as well but I'd like to think Robins would have worked out that teams/players were *checks notes* better in the Premier League.

He’s talking shit there - him not giving his team any semblance of tactical identity has compounded it.

What is the worst score you gave up on ?I've sat through an 8-1 mauling by the b-----d- at the end of the M69 in 1964 in the league cup.Previous season we beat Shewsbury by the same score in the promotion year. You have to take the bad as well as the good.I've only ever left once before the end and that wasn't to do with the match (weather).Call yourself a supporter.

I don't care. Football is part of a day out and I'm not going to further immiserate myself just so I can wear a "loyal supporter" badge.

I’ve left early in a huff a fair few times. I went storming out of Wembley until I saw the goal was disallowed and slunk back to my seat

Ollie Watkins is an outstanding player. Surprising in a way that he doesn't play more for England.
