Haven't seen it, but it sounds very Hameresque, and also displays a lack of discipline, like Palmer's booking yesterday.

It's probably more because of than despite of. They've signed an entire 25 man squad that's never met before.

Don't think there's any doubt he deserves to be in the England squad, just can't see how he'd ever fit into a Southgate England team though.

Rodgers has just said it's baffling that he isn't even in the squad. Southgate ignoring him is just one of many reasons he shouldn't be in the job

On your second point, it's definitely a massive klaxon to his credibility that Maddison isn't being included.

Basically everyone except Southgate thinks Maddison should be in the squad. As is being said at the moment on Sky Southgate just seems to have his favourites who play for a narrow range of clubs.

Think about some of those who'll be guaranteed places regardless of how they play and think about him being left out despite being in the form of his life. Then think about struggling to break down Iran/USA/Wales while Henderson is being carted out

I don't see him not taking Henderson because of simple leadership although most would probably agree he's past it so an obvious drop out, although you're leaving yourself further exposed in defensive minded players for attackers.

He's definitely not going to take him.

Edit: Just realised I haven't included Mount who will definitely be on the plane either.
