West Ham defender saved the ball and no pen but obviously it’s a handball. What happened
You'd expect Jones to go soon as well, with the modern way of churning managers.Southampton surely destined to go down. Losing at home despite being in front against 10 men
7 losses in 8 league games. The appointment never made sense. You'd expect Jones to go soon as well, with the modern way of churning managers.
If I was him I wouldn't have taken that job, but I guess he wouldn't know when and if another top flight job would come along for him.7 losses in 8 league games. The appointment never made sense.
Just watched it on MOTD, horrid decision!Another fucked uk var decision costing possibly the game.
VAR is totally ruining football.
Nathan Jones what a lunatic complaining because his team had a one man advantage.
Surely getting sacked, not only terrible results but embarrassing the club in the press.
Should be available for the captain of each team to call for a VAR review of the type of incidents it’s used for now. Each team gets 3 a game and keeps it if they’re proven right
Just get rid of it.
It's attempting to 'fix' things that didn't need fixing, using technology that isn't capable of doing what is asked of it & just adding extra layers of subjectivity. We have had to have multiple rewrites of various laws like handball & offside to supposedly make it easier for VAR & it's now a ridiculous mess.
One of the worst things to ever happen to the game & I genuinely don't know if I could stomach us being in the Prem & having to put up with it.
What a disaster of an appointment Jones was.
there was so many appalling mistakes in one day yesterday that surely they have to do something. offside goals allowed because the VAR official forgot to draw the lines, clear handballs missed. Absolute shambles.VAR is totally ruining football.
I hope we never hire Nathan 'I'm fucking brilliant' Jones.
Yes he did an amazing job at Luton, but what a prize prick he is.
You could call them ‘time outs’, and they could also give the quarterback some time to draw up some new plays on the sideline with the rest of the offense.Should be available for the captain of each team to call for a VAR review of the type of incidents it’s used for now. Disagree that the rules for handball and offside have been rewritten for VAR.Just get rid of it.

Wouldn't trust on the field personnel to use it properly. They don't get a good enough overview. You'd need an analyst in the stands much like in the NFL.Should be available for the captain of each team to call for a VAR review of the type of incidents it’s used for now. It’s beyond help the handball decision shows it’s all wrongShould be available for the captain of each team to call for a VAR review of the type of incidents it’s used for now. Each team gets 3 a game and keeps it if they’re proven right

They've been making them more obtuse and subjective for a long while, before VAR was even considered. In my opinion it's deliberate to generate controversy and headlines.
They are fact based though & using technology that is capable of doing the job. That's not the case in football.Happens in tennis and cricket of course where it works just fine
It does for the factual decisions; hitting/missing stumps, no ball, in/out, but for catches in cricket it's still subjective and controversial.Happens in tennis and cricket of course where it works just fine
It was hyperbole, but it does seem that they've been making the offside and handball laws so convulted that it's resulted in unclear, often wrong, decisions, but lots and lots more controversy and discussion.Totally agree about the rules being rewritten for VAR, handball especially.
But a deliberate attempt to generate headlines? Bit of a stretch to say the least
They’re not timed games - giving control of lengthy stoppages in play to the teams themselves will just lead to more strategic time wasting.Happens in tennis and cricket of course where it works just fine
