State of that Chelsea side. Apart from Enzo Fernandez and maybe Caciedo who’s yet to show his best form, there’s not a player who’d play regularly for a top 4 side. One billion pound.

The explanation on sky sports about what happened is hilarious.

I'm not sure it's possible to be that inept, they are still refusing to release the audio.

Even without var, the lino was bang in line. How on earth did he get it wrong?
I think that’s as big an issue as these guys should be getting that call correct

I can understand the lino getting it wrong tbf because we're talking about fine margins, no excuse for VAR. It makes the decision not to go for the semi automated system at the world cup a farce. I can only assume they voted against it to ensure that their little gravy train keeps on rolling (I'm assuming that an automated offside system may have meant a reduction in the number of VAR needed).

I remember something similar last season too, didn't they forget to draw the lines in a game (Arsenal Vs Brentford?) which lead to Brentford being awarded a pen at the end of the game.

There have been plenty of wrong decisions with VAR including some in Liverpool's favour, why is this one causing such a fuss other than it was against Liverpool. I can't help thinking that if this happened against Luton or Sheff Utd it would be forgotten by now.

The offside is shocking and needs understanding and resolving to not happen again.

I think all of the other 'wrong' VAR decisions had an element of subjectivity. This one was inexplicable and without any doubt wrong.

I think some have been wrong but not as clearcut as this. Not VAR but what about the goal involving Villa because goal line technology was not switched on, that wrong decision was enough to stop Villa getting relegated.

yeah they are

There was an offside for a Norwich goal against Spurs that was the VAR official not understanding the offside law.

I'm not even sure they apologised and it was moved on from a lot quicker.

It was human error, move on.

If klopp & the red-shite somehow manage to get the game replayed, then its only fair to replay every game LFC have been involved in with an incorrect VAR decision......all the way back to when this dumb VAR shit was introduced in 2019/20....

.......the season when LFC won* the title

* with the help of VAR & covid.

it won't be replayed, that would set the stall of any game with a contentious decision to be replayed.

how many different people are discussing that decision in that clip. The phrase "too many chef's spoil the broth" comes to mind.

That’s the biggest factor in all this. They need to follow rugby’s (or cricket’s, as highlighted) example.
