I think they may be, but I think it will be the punishment that will cause outrage

If they are, anything less than several relegations would be a piss take. So, probably a hefty fine and a wag of the finger not to do it again.

If Arsenal add Vik they'll do it next year

Cant see Citeh winning 5 in a row

Liverpool will be all at sea

Chelsea and United are shite

Outsiders, Tottenham? Ange is a good manager and they still have the Kane money to spend

There's still something about Arsenal's mentality - top at Christmas then immediately bottled it with 2 losses, only to regain the lead, get a draw at the Eithad and bottle it again at home to Villa.

To beat City in the title race you basically need to establish a lead in Feb and then win every single game remaining.

Can't see anyone outside of those two challenging next year. Chelsea and Spurs still need time, who knows how Slot will get on and United are a mess.

Shows the farce of var. var officials saw it, ref looked at replay on screen but still a goal given.

I thought that showed VAR working as it should for once.

Clear mistake by the ref. No VAR and that WOULD have gone down as a goal.

We have to accept that refs are human and do make mistakes from time to time.

And sometimes officials are unsighted and can miss things too, simply because they didn't see an incident.

This is the way VAR needs to be used.

Clear and obvious errors.

Think Chelsea have come on leaps and bounds tbh and I was at one point questioning how Poch was still in his job

Good to see some teams flying out to Australia for meaningless friendlies...

La Liga will be playing matches abroad from 25/26 onwards. Goes to show how little value those teams see in their own fans. Wouldn't remotely shock me if and when the prem teams follow suit.

Yeah, that's what I mean. It was given as a goal. No VAR, that would have stood.

Refs are only human at the end of the day.

Can you imagine the backlash to that yesterday if there was no VAR and the goal was an equalising goal that resulted in Arsenal winning the Premier?

This is exactly how VAR should be used. Cut out all the other nonsense. Only focus on clear and obvious errors.

Big screen for everyone, referee and all, final decision his and his alone with no overrule.
Quite simple that!!

Yeah, fine, but that is VAR really isn't it,. except it's the ref looking at it himself, instead of other refs in a studio somewhere.

I would be all for that if that worked well.

Perfect use of VAR was in the L2 play off final yesterday if anyone watched it

no one would or even could bat an eyelid at it if that is how it was used as it would have been a disgrace if Crewe had have got that penalty

Yeah, that's what I'm saying mate, the VAR made no difference, it was given as a goal on the field & was not overturned by VAR.

Exactly. You watch that in real time and it looks a certain penalty doesn't it.

Slow motion proves the keeper never touched him.

It wasn't "clear & obvious" it was more ball to hand wasn't it? Sort of popped up an hit his hand rather than a deliberate control.

Not sacked apparently, the old mutual consent.

Straight swap I reckon.

Robins to Chelsea...
They wouldn’t give him control over transfers, so it’s kind of just been a “Well off you go then” from Chelsea

odd, why not come to an agreement to get rid when they were shite as opposed to when he was getting it right

Soap opera of a football club Chelsea are
