So it's alright to inpede the keeper just as the cross comes in and get away with it or only if your a big club .If that had been the other end it would have been disallowed.

It is a bit shit, but Silva cannot be offside when he was "tussling" with the keeper, as it was a corner and you can't be offside from a corner, only when Stones headed it was he in an offside position, by which time he was clear of Sa and not in his eye line.

Someone tell me if I am wrong, but as far as I can tell, by the letter of the law, it was a legit goal and not offside.

Pretty much, I think.

They had to take it from the Stones header, and by that point Sa wasn't being impeded. He clearly saw it, moved towards it, and nearly saved it. At that point, he's obviously not impeded and Silva isn't considered as having an impact on play.

He wasn't set when he was fighting off Silva was he and Silva squatting out of the the way of the header?
