Pressley signed Swanson O'brien , tudgay, Jackson as 4 of the big budget signings and these will all be on higher than average wages in this league.

Johnson aside the budget has been spent poorly

So Pressley is accountable.

Doubt they will be on bigger money no one else wanted them?
But you get what you pay for and how much did these cost altogether????

Now now ecky, there are some on here who think he's the second coming. I was one of the early ones to question the man and some ridiculed me. He has no plan B whatsoever, doesn't know his best team, signs rubbish players and gets rid of the ones we need, for a defender his defensive tactics are awful, got lucky with the strikers he inherited, talks shite in his post match interviews, cannot now seem to motivate the players and he thinks that Waggot is a good guy. He has had 3 transfer windows and not signed 1 decent player who has made any sort of decent impact.

he seems to beleive it himself he called the players his disciples in his post match interview

I expected a defeat today but I haven't really change my opinion since last week, he should go.

A few more defeats against Oldham, Peterborough and Leyton Orient will seal his fate.

Recent SP quote:
"We have to do a couple of things better"

May I suggest those couple of things are scoring goals and stopping our opponents from scoring.

It's a ridiculous notion to shoot a man down who's always done his job with one hand tied behind his back by his employees.

So Presley goes, then what?

Who are we going to replace him with, with sisunomics?

What funds will his replacement get to change things, with sisunomics?

How will his replacement get more out the squad that sisunomics deliver?

SISU are the problem. People can carry on blaming the fans, the manager, the Ricoh, ACL, CCC, Wasps, Andy Thorn, the weather, the CT, PWKH or whoever but we are reaping what SISU have sowed.

Tony, you won't hear me disagreeing with you on the Sisu bit but I do on Pressley. At what point do we say enough is enough and the man just isn't any good. If he is so good with young/youth team players then make him the under 21 coach because he clearly does not have what it takes. He was lucky in landing on 2 of the best strikers in the league last season and any manager could have put those two in the team and they would have scored goals. It is what else has he done, yes he has signed lots of frees and loans but so have other managers in the leagues around us so why are we so bad. I would love Sisu to fuck off and take Pressley with them, the man is not what he thinks he is and if he stays I really fear for our League 1 status (cannot actually believe I said that).

Why? give me 2 good reasons

Pressley knows what the Club requires and is trying to change it for the better.

We are actually playing a decent style of Football and not consistently lumping the ball forward in the air..

Just quickly, I feel a lot of people moaning about a lack of bite in midfield are those who continuously criticise Conor Thomas? Not the most gifted player, but has some power, missed him today.

They weren't much better than us and we were missing three crucial players in Fleck, Nouble and Reda.. Give it time.

we are actually after tippy- tappying it around at the back.

To feet is what we need as the kids do ,or if It goes over the top ,the providers know the runs of the Strikers .

that Is yet to come and may be down squad changes and not as long together as the kids.

The squad is not strong enough in depth or quality to compete at the play off level which is where the club need to be,, during a season with injuries, suspensions and rest needed we don't have enough.. Bringing Madison, Haynes and Phillips through are positives and good to see, too many at the same time will weaken a team overall which is being shown by results.

SP has a real job on his hands and with not having the ability to pay out money on transfers the club need to be moving in the right direction to get the loans and free signing of the quality he needs to make a difference.. Is he the right man?? i'm not sure is anyone the right man at this club in its current state,, i think the change is needed at ownership level to give any manager and the club the boost it needs to get the wheel in motion of progress..

Fucking hell man, that means fuck all. Sunderland had nearly half the possession at Southampton today........and in answer to your 2 good reasons, can you please try and explain what the fuck your first line means and the second reason, jesus are you watching some of the dross we are being served up?

Wash your mouth out kid. Jesus..

It's not just possession, in essence they (Bristol City) were more clinical on the day, we had a couple of good opportunities (Ryan Haynes' header in the second half being one) which could have brought us into the game earlier, I also agree with what Pressley said in the fact we lack a physical presence and it was very notable at set pieces and we do need it.

As respect to my points, my first point is that Pressley knows what is require at this Club he understands the frustrations and I feel given time he will help us move forward. I have seen 16/17 games this season home and away, I know for a fact that bar a few games where we have been dire, we have moved the ball around well and played our way forward, again I think we do need a physical presence on the pitch but we aren't far away.

Swanson stated that Peterborough offered him a deal but we outbid them and O Brian was offered a deal at Barnsley. Tudgay and Jackson would have had offers - I would guess they are the two biggest earners at the club.

Sick of the excuses being made for Pressley, we've been terrible under him. Even last season when we were winning we rarely played well for 90 minutes.

Why not? He's got sacked from his last two jobs though perhaps unfairly. Just read that he's taken a scouting job at Arsenal until the end of the season so he can't be that in demand.

Brian McDermott is a good Championship manager he wouldn't drop to League 1.

You could say the same for Nigel Clough at Sheffield United and Simon Grayson at Preston. Also possibly Mark Robins at Scunthorpe.

Simon Grayson has an established reputation for getting teams out this league but has failed in his attempts in the Championship with Leeds and Huddersfield, Nigel Clough really hasn't done a lot as a manager to be fair, I think his name got him the Derby job. Mark Robins is a decent manager, but again has he done a lot? Not really, Brian McDermott is a decent knowledgable manager in the Championship, he wouldn't come here.

You can stick your head in the sand as much as you want but the facts are staring you in the face, look at his record. Most other managers would have got the bullet. He has had 3 transfer windows and not signed one good player who has made a positive difference. You say we need a midfielder yet I seem to remember Pressley near the end of the transfer window saying we didn't need one, well sorry but we fucking do and if you don't like swearing, tough shit, we're all adults. He has been shown up tactically at this level (yes little old League 1) whereas other managers with smaller budgets in less time have got far more from their teams. He has no plan B at all and talks complete shite in his interviews now. If you stick with your first point that he knows what he requires then even you are disagreeing as you thinks he needs a midfielder but he didn't. What this clubs needs is new owners, new manager and a team to be proud of. At present we have nothing that resembles that at all. Moving the ball around means nothing if you don't know what to do with it in the final third, as for your last bit saying we are too far away, from what exactly because the last time I looked 1 point from 6 games and 1 point off relegation so yes in a way we aren't too far away but it certainly ain't the fucking playoffs.

OK if Pressley out....who do we want in?

Brian McDermott?

To answer your question tho STP if and I mean IF we did get rid of Pressley there is only one man I would want, Sean O'Driscoll, except for his spell at Bristol City he has a decent record working with limited budgets, playing good football to boot. That said I don't want Pressley to go anywhere.

Sean O'Driscoll? No thanks, I'd be looking at ambitious number 2. Someone like Mckinlay who has just left Watford.
