The truth is both players have in general performed poorly this season. If we managed to sign a Blair Adams equivelant on the right I think there would be few complaints.
Wasnt particually impressed with Fleck. His passing wasnt up to scratch, but he wasnt awful. Clarke's finishing could have been better and the inclusion of Elliott was a bit late but i think overall we played really well. Murphy has a quiet afternoon and i think could have done a little better with the second goal, maybe trying to dive for it, but both goals took huge deflections so you cant nreally portion blame on the keeper. Overall, we dominated the attacking play. Preston must have had about 4 shots overall and me had loads. We should have scored about 6 gtiven the chnaces we had, but we won in spectacular style and we're still on the road to wembley and i cant see us running out of petrol just yet
His passing was good tbf, he did a cross which should've been better, he had a great moment of skill on the edge of the ball but couldn't do anything with it, he had an ok game - 6.
Clarke played well, coped with their physicality, took his goal well (so he should!) had a number of nearly moments, Clarke's and Sheff's cross, but should've finished that chance in the 1st half.
Murphy had a quiet afternoon? He didn't have to make a save, the 2nd goal was an unlucky deflection and he had made the decision to dive the other way (you can tell, because he got caught wrong footed). Always got something bad to say about Murphy.
We didn't dominate, we created better chances, we had 1-2 good chances we should've scored, whilst they didn't really create anything, apart from corners, which they had 7, we had 0.

this is one thing about murphy that i will agree with liama bout
murphy does seem to give up alot and watch the ball go in, most of time hes probably right but it would be nice to see him at least make a dive in vain,it could save us a goal or two a season

Not a shock when you think Dunn should play before him
The first one he could have stayed bigger. He turned away and closed his eyes. Not good keeping. The second one he was going one way and it went in the corner at speed. Absolutely no chance of getting to it. Would have been a great save if it was shot from there at that pace. BTW I am also a keeper. I went straight into every first team I had a trial with. I was playing before you were born
murphys poor punch also led to the first goal as we couldnt relieve pressure
but thats where criticism ends, hes a good keeper and did well last night,seemed more commanding in the area too for most part

In my young life, i've onyl ever seen 1 thing more dramatic, the Man City title win, but i hate Man City and i wasnt there, so this was a better feeling. Not good for my heart though. Thought it was gonna explode. And also, i said i would eat my shoes if we wont fromm 2-1 down, so anyone know a good trainer recipe?
What can i say? I'm a dunn fan and im a fan of the fringe players being given chances. The first goal wasnt Murphy's fault. It hit Adams in the face and took it away from him. I think the man on the line should have done a lot better. Murphy probally thought the man on the lin would get it. 2nd goal, still hard but could have tried. If that was me i would still dive in the hope of better a finger to it. Sometimes you just gotta take that leap of faith and i was a bit disapointed that murphy didnt try to get it. I can understand why he didnt but cant say i wasnt disapointed

Don't worry, this user formed his opinion on Clarke after his first 5 games for Coventry when he was a 17/18 year old. Nothing will likely change itHow the feck can you have this opinion? Clarke is quite blatantly a talented footballer with good technique.
If you look at Jordan Clarke and don't think he's a very promising defender with excellent technique then you really need to rethink the sport you follow. Maybe football isn't for you.
Of course this is all academic as your opinion on his performance counts for nothing considering you weren't at the game so couldn't have actually watched him all game.

I thought that too! Even thought they felt the time wasting would come back and haunt them they didnt sound too disgruntled by it! More pissed off that Simonsen didnt come up for the corner!

You have to stick a defender back to cover him! :facepalm: so why not just have that extra defender?
