Not it wasn’t you said it was a ball over the top for the goal. Looks at the video of their goal if a ball over the top was part of the reason they scored it would have been shown in the clip.

What? 😂

Not really a gotcha, he was back goal side and the player had to go backwards. When Dasilva gets caught out (and it's multiple times a game) the opposition player usually has acres to drive into to behind him, and leads to a goalscoring chance from a cross from the position the player has exploited. This isn't the case in this instance, there's another 4-5 passes before the goal, so 2-3 phases of play later.

There was acres behind for him to drive in to! He decided to come back, though it might have been because there wasn't quite enough on the pass, either way it led to a goal.

The lengths people go to to exonerate Bidwell is absolutely insane. If that was Dasilva people would be screaming blue murder - and understandably so, it was rubbish defending.

On Eccles my observation was that he’s maybe still a little awkward in what FL is asking him to do in his favoured 4-3-3. There was something about the positions he was taking up, the runs he was making and where he was looking for a position to offer something for Grimes to pick out which seemed a little off. Rudoni and Torp seem more adept at it.

It’s the same concern I’d have for Sheaf really if Grimes is the anchor and he’s expected to be a little more dynamic and move between the 8-10 position.

He spent the first 20 mins hiding. He literally didn't know where he should be. Taking up some really odd positions, getting in others way.

I saw him make two tackles in the space of about 30 seconds in the second half, on our RHS near the touchline. Your stats look made up.
He also played 2 or 3 long passes forward to Simms and Bidwell in the 1st half, the 2(1?) to Simms set up a couple of chances the 2nd which eventually ended up as the 1st goal and the one to Bidwell was crossed and cleared for the corner we scored from. It is easier to get 90-100% pass completion rate if they are short or backwards passes but not so easy if they are forwards and trying to create something. In the 1st half Binks hit a crossfield pass to MVE that was too hard but was applauded for an unsuccessful pass as it was progressive. Once again some are using stats to criticise a player, I though Eccles was OK yesterday. I thought Grimes was motm as his short passes and movement kept us moving and was the basis that allowed Rudoni, EMC & Sakamoto to play well.

Weird you still can't see how it's completely different to when dasilva gets done. Best get back in the politics.

Haha absolutely fucking mental. It was a mistake by Bidwell, it's OK to admit it lads, the world won't end.

In the 1st half Kitching was having a go at Bidwell and wanted him to drop a bit deeper but Bidwell just ignored him. I like Bidwell but I think he is too high at times and easy to play over and into the space where he should be. Would I rather have JDS? Fuck no, he is clueless about positioning and always seems to be on the outside watching a game that he isn't involved in. I understand that JDS may get some game time between now and the end if the season as Bidwell may need resting but if it's in a back 4 I'd rather we put Binks there.

Oh you're doing that thing again where you make up stuff that people haven't actually said, sound.
You're the one trying to compare it to when when dasilva fucks up? Multiple people have pointed out to you it's completely different.

Yes it is completely different that's my point, one gets criticised (rightly), one does not. It's absolutely bizarre.

Look Dasilva is fucking garbage, Bidwells ok not great but steady and definitely the better of the 1 and a half in that position
