Pretend the game isn’t happening, assume we’ll have 48 points on Saturday, beat Huddersfield and all will be well in the world

I'd be tempted to bring Dabo back at rwb and move Norton Cuffy into the middle instead of palmer. He's quick good on the ball would cover a lot of ground with Hamer and Allen

Don't mean it maliciously, but we are much weaker with Dabo in the team as a general rule these days.

I do feel that it's getting to the point where if you could keep the spine of the team, including O'hare, and bring in a couple of high quality wing-backs (although I do rate Bidwell), then we would have a very good team.

Godden and Vik seem to link up for a goal every time they play together now. With injuries and Maguire not cutting it, I don't see a decent sub. for Palmer. No to square pegs in round holes; sh*t idea. Allen behind Godden and Vik. Win 2-0.

Wilson-Esbrand looks lost in midfield. I really hope MR doesnt try that again.
Agree, baffling substitution that was - That being said I thought he looked okay for the last 10 when Bidwell come off and he shifted back

If we are going to make the play offs, which I think is a long shot, we need to win a lot of games and score a lot of goals. The best chance of doing that, is to bring in Godden alongside Gyokeres, now that Palmer is injured. As you say they link up well, and I think it might work even better now that Gyokeres has learned to play in other players more often. Earlier in the season I think Gyokeres would have shot rather than pass to Allen for the first goal on Saturday.

He was culpable for the goal

I have no confidence going into the game. Preston 'double chance' will be in my midweek accy.

I've accepted the loss already (Mr Negative), a point would keep the hope alive if we can have a strong March.

Win and I'll be nursing a semi until I'm on the train to Huddersfield.

The only person who was culpable for the goal was Hamer. It was a great piece play by an outstanding player.

He was slow to get across - didn’t win the header before the shot - Bidwell would have been in position and the shot wouldn’t have even happened

Bidwell and Doyle had completely left a ball not long before that led to Diallo running towards our goal. No defender would have anticipated Diallo making that shot, and putting it in so quickly with so little of the goal to aim at. If Wilson-Esbrand had gone in rashly we would all have criticised him for that. Sometimes you have to accept that an opponent has scored a good goal.

I’m sure you must be related to JWE

Not that I am aware.

It's just called being balanced and not piling everything onto a player I have decided I don't like. Just above I have disagreed with someone who thinks JWE should play tomorrow.

I don't think anyone on here rates Hamer higher than me but he was the one at fault for their goal.

Also don't you agree Bidwell and Doyle's defending before they were taken off where they left the ball for Diallo was really poor? Far worse than anything JWE did for the goal.

It's interesting that some people blame Wilson for the goal. Again ridiculous but he is one who gets blamed no matter how he plays.

He's left footed, of course he's going to have a shot or is going to try to go across his left side. He had to get to him quicker, he had to block the line for the shot and send him outside on his weaker right foot. One step his his left stops the shot. You can see from his first touch he is having a shot.

Hamer was majorly to blame but JWE could and should have done better.

The other incident you mention was Doyle's ball all day long but his legs had gone, which is what he pretty much admitted in his post match interview.

This would be the time to start McGuire behind Vik, but his lack of game time suggests he's not impressing Robins. Only option is Godden I think, unless he throws a curveball and moves Cuffy to attacking midfield and slots Burroughs or Dabo to RWB, which I can't see him doing. Have full faith in Godden but still not convinced he & Vik can play together, and starting 2 upfront away from home at our bogey team could be asking for trouble.
