The club would accept a 125 year lease if it could take control of ACL (which is what was agreed before ACL/CCC decided to back the wrong horse in haskell and co).

This would protect the stadium from Sisu having the freehold on it and the club will be back at the Ricoh and with a proper stadium management company running the Ricoh, instead of a failing "let's play at running a stadium" company which operates at the minute

This is what pressure should be put on ACL/CCC to do a deal with the club to bring us home

If this was true why do they keep saying that only the freehold will do?

They agreed to play in Northampton only just before the season started.

So who said this?

Even the FL had to admit in the end that they never spoke with SISU in March for the first time about moving but had talks with them in January. I suppose Joy got out of bed one day in January and decided to move our club. Just like a couple of years before they had started moving anything of value out of CCFC LTD but had never had the idea of liquidating it to get out of the contracts held.

Always been a bit of a headbanger.
Never done me any harm. Twitch Twitch :D

I did Iike Thin Lizzy though as my elder brother was really into them. I went to see them on the Black Rose tour with my brother at Brum Odeon. We were right at the front and touched Gary Moore's foot. My claim to fame.

I liked Thin Lizzy Live ..... "Any body got any Irish in them ? Any of the girls want a bit more Irish in them" ....Classic

Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple were my era.

Led Zeppelin at the Coventry Locarno (library) in 1971 .... £1
Sold the ticket a couple of years ago on Ebay for £150

I liked it when an interviewer asked him what's it like to be black and irish. His reply was "it's like being a pint of Guinness"

I am not too sure, as some people see ACL / CCC also to blame surely it could be seen as backing them? It also alienates trust members who go to Sixfields and seems to be moving away from the "representing all fans" that it was? Not a dig or having a go.

If it was at Bedworth Oval then maybe.

I still think if there was a local non league game on a different day that thousands of city fans turned up to, it would get more press.

I don't see what it could achieve apart from distancing it's self from the club and getting closer to ACL again?

Think it is more about getting more people in Coventry.
You I presume want CCFC back in Coventry now.
The only way that will happen is at the Ricoh.
The point is to highlight we should be in Coventry.

i was @ the lanch when Skid Row played there, lead guitarist .... Gary Moore,
having been in the music (warm up ) room prior to the gig,
i / we, had a rare old time,
beer, whisky, & much more,
as per many other bands & gigs at that time,
Jack Bruce, Mike Mandell, Larry Coryell, & Mitch Mitchell, all in one band,
wow, what a gig that was,

Yes, I'll be at Sixfields with my lad to watch us beat Port Vale.

I'm not trying to discredit anything, I just don't think it'll make any difference.

I have to agree with this those who are not comfortable with it,don't go.

It's really that simple those who are, go.

Those who attend Sixfields seem to suggest others should not suggest to them that they really should not be going.

Yet some of the very same people are on here are suggesting this event should not happen.

Thanks. It was called Saxon after one of my favourite groups at the time. :D

So your real name is "Biff" Byford. I'm struggling to remember if I saw them live. I did see a band at Nottingham purely as I wanted to see the support act (Budgie) but I think that was Diamond Head.

They were a curious band really as the studio albums were rather mediocre but as a live act they blew you away. Were on for two and half hours at Coventry Theatre in 1980 and it was mind blowing.

Perhaps you are human after all.
After all these Months I was beginning to think you were an early version of SIRI

Unfortunately when you get people like Schmmee calling people cunts and ranting at Nick then there is little choice but start deleting. And Schmmee has the nerve to blame others.

No surprise either to see who "liked" Scmmee's post.

I went to see Robert Plant tour with Alison Krauss the other year at the NIA. He did some Zepplin tracks with her band and sang brilliantly. I made my kids go - it cost me £250!

There is one thing I don't understand,

SISU have been pulling our club apart. They don't care what anyone thinks of them. We mean nothing to them. They will do what they want and always look for others to blame. They will only bring our club home if they either get the freehold or run out of ways of getting it. But we are supposed to be worried about what we do in case it looks as though our fan groups are doing something SISU wouldn't like. They wouldn't even bring us home if we sucked up to them. They have a fair few of us where they want us. They have done what they can to keep us quiet including threatening litigation. They keep up with allegations being thrown all over the place.

So what have I learned from this thread?

If you watch our men's side in Northampton you are backing SISU. If you watch our women's side at the Ricoh you are backing CCC. Don't give any ammunition to SISU as they will get upset and throw accusations at us and it will stop them from bringing our club home. Most of us haven't got a clue what is going on.....if any. One big rule on this forum is one account each only so don't let Nick know if you have more than one. But Nick says some have more than one :thinking about: You are not to take a thread off topic unless it is about head banging but that is allowed as it is quite apt.

So to cut it short I now know less than I did before :D

Given Labovitch's accusatory attack on SBT for supposedly "colluding" with ACL, it is clear that SISU do take notice when anything happens that could undermine them...ditto with the threat of legal action. Hard to see how they can get upset about a bunch of people going to watch a womens' football match in their own city though.

Because despite their legendary Finnish slogan SISU....ploughing on regardless through adversity or not accepting defeat.....they gets the grumps and childish sulks when they don't get their own way.

In fact they have inspired a bit of SISU in me...I won't go to Sixfields.
