To be fair Nick, your ideas are "see if we can find out who the investors are", which isn't really an idea as we can't. You mention Welcome Break, but that was 13 years ago. There's no way of knowing who they are invested in, or who is invested with them. It's a non-starter.
They've got small offices in Mayfair with a few people in and that's it. You ain't gonna get people down to London regularly, so it's not really a viable protest.
Not saying any of the other ideas are better, but let's not pretend you've given us a solid gold idea.
I've also said "I'll post more from my computer" so I can go through previous suggestions as well and put them all together.
I've never said anything I have said is solid gold or implied it. I have just said in this thread that it's more than Astute, COAB and singers_pore have suggested while they are trying to dig me out for not suggesting anything.
It isn't just finding investors, it's finding others who may have dealt with them or are in "their world".
I'm interested. I'd only understand half of it3. I have a close contact who is a major player in the short selling world. I have spoken with him about trying to short sell the Wasps bond in order to put them under financial pressure. Unfortunately that didn't work out as I hoped for due to some technical reasons that I won't bore you with.
The reason people are "digging" you out is that you criticize the protests of some fans (whistle gate, smoke bombs etc) but you haven't actually done any form of protest yourself. Not saying you can't have an opinion on what other fans are doing, but if you are going to criticize then why not lead the way by organizing the type of protest you would like to see?
Also, I am not particularly interested in you telling other fans what they should or should not be doing. I am far more interested in what you are actually going to DO.
You ask what I have done. Well three things.
1. Offered financial support to one of the people involved in the protest.
2. Offered to meet up with you and Grendel to do a protest outside SISU HQ. No reply as yet.
3. I have a close contact who is a major player in the short selling world. I have spoken with him about trying to short sell the Wasps bond in order to put them under financial pressure. Unfortunately that didn't work out as I hoped for due to some technical reasons that I won't bore you with.
Anyway, my point is that some fans are doing what they can according to what they think is an appropriate form of protest. Other fans simply make snide comments and don't actually do anything.
We are waiting to hear what you intend to do in order to take the protest to SISU rather than the club. You've said you are going to come up with a list. That's great. Hopefully you will actually do the things on the list as well.
I'm interested. I'd only understand half of itbut I'm interested...
How about a mass mailing campaign......send all sorts of parcels to their Mayfair offices......
lets send them all sorts of bizarre & extraordinary items......
a box of kippers, a tonne of top soil, a massive box of polystyrene chips, a selection of rotten fruit, some unpackaged sex toys, etc. etc.
....you know the sort of thing...... think subversive generation game conveyor belt
So you have actually done no more than me then but are telling me what I should be doing?.
First I haven't said anything about what you should be doing. I have simply asked you what you are going to do. Big difference between telling someone what they should do versus asking them what they will do.
Second I told you three things I have done. Apologies if I missed it but I don't recall seeing anything from you about what you have done. So what have you done?
Good shout.Absolutely nothing. Clearly.
I'll keep listing ideas and brainstorming then if something sticks then I can try and develop it further.
Oh, put SISU capital into Google
Naive question but... have they moved, or are they multiplying like the Borg?!?Oh, put SISU capital into Google
The name is sufficient to make me wish he was our chairman!Timothy Overturf?
Exactly ,we have been protesting against SISU for about 8 years, and its got nowhere. Unless some fan is mad enough to fire an exocet through their office windows, then most of the protests in London where they are based, have little or negligible effect. Whilst I wouldn't ever invade the pitch and certainly never throw smoke bombs,it has been actions like the pitch invasion against Sheff Utd that has attracted far more publicity nationwide, than 20 or so fans protesting outside SISU offices. To be fair Nick, your ideas are "see if we can find out who the investors are", which isn't really an idea as we can't.
