Totally agree. We've should've had 4 points off Leicester this season - they've had nothing to worry us much in both games. Yes they're a million points clear in the league but we've nothing to fear playing them again.I don't get the "Leicester is the worst possible draw stuff."
What am I missing?
We beat them here and were the best side at theirs too for most of the game and should have got at least a draw.
Surely them at home gives us the best opportunity of making the semi-finals doesn't it?
I think one of the biggest, besides injury, is fatigue. This is the issue, gone backwards since for various reasons.
If that's the case, it doesn't matter where we play as long as someone plays at Old Trafford as we get a share anyway. All the gate monies are "pooled" and then shared out between all the quarter finalists so it is irrelevant
After the home team take out expenses it is split 45/45 ( rest to the FA) but "pooled" over all the teams so no advantage "money wise" if you get Man U away or Forest Green away. Everyone gets an equal split. Is that right? Everything on line says it’s the same expenses then 45% to home and away teams
It's a disease mate. The amount of Liverpool shirts I see down here , you'd think it was a suburb.I don't want Man City. Not living in Coventry my lad already gets pelters for supporting a crap team, half the lads in his class inevitably 'support' Man City despite living in the Cotswolds
He'd get dogs abuse if we were to get battered by them! I'm trying to train him up to bite back. Stuff like asking how many times they have seen their 'team'
One bonus as such of last nights results is that if we are drawn away we gets good allocation regardless of who we playAfter the results last night, its looking like every team left in will be pretty mouth-watering (especially if Wolves beat Brighton)
Newcastle
Leicester
Man City
Chelsea/Leeds
Forest/Manchester United
Liverpool
Wolves/Brighton
There isn't a "poor" tie in there.
I think our performance peaked at home to them, we haven't performed brilliant since. Hopefully Sheaf and Allen are back for the 6th round
Yes but it may end up being his first game back and so he may not startQuarter finals 16th March right? So there’s a slim chance Sheaf could be back?
Yes but it may end up being his first game back and so he may not start
Good luck with that! But we could get Leicester in QFs and then, say Forest in the semi, the Leeds in the final.
Why invite on a battering at Anfield?
true, and we’ll already be 4-1 up and the etihad will be 3/4 empty by that point regardlessA late subs bench appearance is fine, De Bruyne will want his shirt for his collection anyway.

Liverpools a great city and it would be a good day but i cant help thinking seeing us get battered there would be worse even than seeing us get battered at wembleyGood luck with that!
Day out in Liverpool and Anfield. Great stuff.
Yeah annoys the hell out of me, when I grew up around here half the kids in my class were Man United fans. Still see a few of them about now, one got the crest tattoo despite never having gone to Old Trafford! So weird. I guess it's a bit more understandable here because until FGR got into the league there wasn't much locally. Could travel to Cheltenham but that's not much of a draw for kids. It's a disease mate. The amount of Liverpool shirts I see down here , you'd think it was a suburb.
They were born here , never seen them play live, and what really pisses me off they don't go to Torquay games either
I'm fairly sure that the pooling of gate receipts doesn't apply until the semi final, up to and including the 6th round, the money is split between the two participating clubs. After the home team take out expenses it is split 45/45 ( rest to the FA) but "pooled" over all the teams so no advantage "money wise" if you get Man U away or Forest Green away. Everyone gets an equal split.
TV money and Prize money goes to the individual teams not "pooled"
Haven’t been to Anfield for over 20 years. I’ll take the beating.Liverpools a great city and it would be a good day but i cant help thinking seeing us get battered there would be worse even than seeing us get battered at wembley
That would be such a yawwwwwwn.Inbreds at home - it’s the only choice
Same in Weymouth. Pretty much all of my kids' friends support Liverpool or Man City. Not one of them have ever been within 250 miles of Anfield or the Etihad. My kids have had selfies with all of our squad and feel like they know them, and travel up to games and sing and chant all game. That's being a supporter. It's a disease mate. The amount of Liverpool shirts I see down here , you'd think it was a suburb.

Not likely , when you consider our crowds alreadyPlease not Liverpool or Man United at home. The home end would be full of Liverpool/United ‘fans’ from Cov.
That’s not right. The gate, after expenses, is split 45:45 between home and away side. 10% goes to FA. I would suggest that 45% at Old Trafford is significantly more than 45% at Forest Green so there is an advantage to get Man U away. After the home team take out expenses it is split 45/45 ( rest to the FA) but "pooled" over all the teams so no advantage "money wise" if you get Man U away or Forest Green away. Everyone gets an equal split.

But a decent chance of progressing to WembleyThat would be such a yawwwwwwn.

Yep the exact reason I wanted Man United. A good balance between a big traditional team and one we would have a chance of an upset in. City and Liverpool would just turn us over.Would like Newcastle or Man Utd at home as I reckon we could actually potentially beat either of them.
Callum Wilson skying a last minute penalty into singers corner for a equaliser, then celebrating in front with us at the end.Ive got a feeling we’ll get Newcastle at home and I think we’d have a chance
How many times do you want to play them? You yawn at a potential quarter final against Leicester at a packed CBS??
Wow.
