Sorry, don't get the comparison. Lloyd McGrath was a full blooded battler. Very strong in the tackle and a great man marker. Eccles is more of a technical player.I’ve decided, although my memory may be fading and therefore happy to be corrected, that Eccles reminds me of pre-injury Lloyd McGrath.
Dunno, but when he signed that’s what a local journo had writtenWow , where the fuck did I read 10 mill ?
Eccles is better technically for sure but he’s also very tough tackling… you’re probably right.Sorry, don't get the comparison. Lloyd McGrath was a full blooded battler. Very strong in the tackle and a great man marker. Eccles is more of a technical player.

A competent ref and hes given away a penalty.
Agreed brilliant save, but joint best player on our side im not sure.Ok admittedly I had forgotten about that. But that save was absolutely top class and I think, if I remember rightly, that kept it at 0-0? Could of been a very different game if we had gone 1 down

Good point. Wondered why it wasnt given.Ref was never giving that with the foul seconds before.

Football League World is not the most accurate of sources, the same article claims our wage bill is £6.8mHopefully that will be the case but wages may be an issue because he is the highest paid player at the club by some distance.
Was it not just outside of the box where contact is made? Looks it to me on the replayYou could see with his body language that he knew he should have given it.
I give that as a default rating and didn’t see much reason to go higher or lowerCan someone who went to the game explain how Haji wright is getting ratings of 6??

He just about gets a pass. Was clean through twice. First was brilliant touch tobcpme through defence and create a chance one on one.I give that as a default rating and didn’t see much reason to go higher or lower
Robins does make an excellent point that for the goal Simms had no time to think and just went with instinct for the finish, a bit like Wright’s solitary goal too. The more time they have to think, they overcomplicate and the chance goes.He just about gets a pass. Was clean through twice. 2nd time clean through on RHS. Had 3 potential simple passes to pass to a team mate passes straight at defender. Unbelievable.
Seems when he has time to think he freezes.
Looking for excuses we are.Robins does make an excellent point that for the goal Simms had no time to think and just went with instinct for the finish, a bit like Wright’s solitary goal too. The more time they have to think, they overcomplicate and the chance goes.
Eh?Looking for excuses we are.
