Well there wouldn’t be a Scottish league. That’s the point. There would be a British league.

You say a 1200 mile round trip is ridiculous but we’re quite a small country, how does it work in Spain or Germany or France? Do they split the league up?
So a new GB FA then meaning the end of the FA and the SFA, the FA being the oldest FA in the world. The new GBFA would probably be in England so that would please the Scots no doubt.
You have 92 clubs in England plus hundreds of non league affiliated clubs, then ad on the 42? Scottish league clubs, plus all their non league clubs, which you would have to mesh together to form what, a 7/8/9/ new British leagues. Good luck with that. The FA cup gone, the Scottish FA cup gone, both replaced by a GB Cup, with what about 300/400 teams entering.
Celtic and Rangers in the Premiership, I bet Wolves/Brentford/Everton will love that. We get promoted but are told that this season there is no promotion but 3 Scottish teams will be allocated to the Premiership.
Teams like Burton Grimsby out of league 2 now in league 6, having to play 6 Scottish teams and on and on with loads of disgruntled clubs. It would be chaos and deeply unpopular, which is why it won't happen.

I mean you’ve made a whole load of assumptions there to get upset about.

The Belfast Giants ice hockey are quite deliberately not sectarian and draw support from the whole city. Ice hockey league is across the whole UK and works fine
Ice hockey isn't football though.

I'm sure there are lots of non sectarian sports played in Glasgow (to name just one city) that are very peaceful, but Celtic vs Rangers in an outlet for every kind of sectarian hatred.

In NI if there was only one club, it would eventually be "owned" by one side or the other. That, unfortunately, is the negative side of football.

Ice Hockey can't be compared to football in any way. Firstly there is no ice hockey pyramid like football and certainly no promotion or relegation. You says it works fine but does it?
In the last few years the Elite league the best division by far has lost , Edinburgh with one of the oldest barns in the UK, it has also lost Newcastle, Hull, Basingstoke and Milton Keynes that is 5 teams that I can think of in the last few years.
Go to the Skydome next season and see how many away fans Dundee, Fife, Glasgow and even Belfast bring, you will be able to count them on one hand. Only the relatively close teams Nottingham, Sheffield and Cardiff bring a decent away following.
For a team like Basingstoke they found it financial hell to have to travel to Scotland 12 times a year and fly their whole team to Belfast 3 maybe 4 times a year.

Has he traveled to Spain ?
Don't think I've seen him in any of or the footage or pictures.

Think many think of this guy as a u21 development player and thus don't count him as proper summer recruitment

I wonder what role he will end up having.

Good point, don’t think he’s been in training on the first 2 days. Possible to have travelled but have picked up a knock at the Port Vale game I guess

As people keep asking if he'll be in the U21s, here's the direct quote:

Robins told CoventryLive: “Rapha is going to be part of the first team squad. He’s a young player who has come over from the other side of the world so he is someone who is an interesting person and interesting player.

“He has a lot of attributes that we are trying to develop and we will see over pre-season, see where he’s at. But he’s got some really good attributes that mean he can be anything he wants to be really.”

Rapha is a talent. Watch his videos again and realise what he can do in men’s football. Ok the Aussie top flight isn’t quite the same but he is one serious baller. He’s the one to watch a bit like Tatsu last year. Going to surprise a few and leave plenty of defenders for dead. Won’t be a starter for a while but give us something different and a bit of magic.

to the tune of “stop this flame” (by celeste)

You’ll never stop Rodrigues
He’s gonna score a goal
Well who am I to say?
But he’s the best of them all
He makes defenders look shite
Our Aussie on the right
You’ll be scared when he’s through on goal
You’ll never stop Rodrigues
He’s gonna score a goal

To the tune of Babybird: because you're gorgeous

Remember that rascal tanktop you bought me
You wrote "PUSB" on it
You took me to your rented stadium
And filmed me on the pitch
You got me to lift my shirt up
And looked at my tattoo
It said Raphael Rodriguez
And a picture of me dressed in sky blue
Because you're Borges
I'd do anything for you
Because you're Borges
Mad Hatter through and through

Watched one of the recent Unseen videos, and the boy has lightning pace...I think he will be playing a big part this season. Those front players (EMC, Saka, Wright, Rudoni, Palmer & Simms) are frightening...

Fixed it for you. If I supported another team that were playing us I would not be frightened of Palmer at all. Yes he might produce some magic for 45 minutes every 5 or 6 games, but 2 goals and 4 assists in 32 games as a CAM is hardly prolific.

Don’t think Palmer will play as much this year if we play 4/3/3

have a weird feeling Jamie Allen might be more prominent than fans (me included) envisage
