Excellent if true. We need more quality in our under 23s, its not been providing and if we're to continue with it we clearly need to invest.

To be fair you have always made that point about the 23’s

is this the back up right winger though?

I think he’s going to be first team

Well really you need some u23s that can develop but also wouldn't look totally hopeless if needed to play some first team minutes, as part of the development really. This hopefully is one of those.

One for the future IMO. He's very raw. Could see us taking a look at him over pre-season then sending him back to Australia when their next season starts in October on loan.

He is rapid which is something we've been lacking lately.

I don’t disagree with you as you’ll know about him more than me, I just think we all know we need a winger so unless we sign another more frontline option I think he’ll stay around

It all depends how the summer goes really. If he impresses in pre-season he'll get a chance as we have no depth on the wings. I just know the step up from A-League to Championship is a BIG one, so I'm keeping my feet firmly on the ground with how much he'll contribute this season.

Interesting/unusual build for a winger - looks tall and bulky. Could be profiling him as an EMC/Wright-type player, but he looks quite raw from the highlight video and the gulf in class from the A-League to the Championship is vast. Feels like a Tavares-esque punt, wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes an U23 legend.

Heeeees Brazilian-Australian
He cost an undisclosed fee
And he’s probably one for future
Rodriguez

What do we reckon? Saka backup?
They'd probably shove EMC over there first, but after that then possibly. Depends how he matches up to Tavares atm I suppose.

Fingers crossed that he has it in him to succeed here .
A big chance for him to progress & learn off EMC , Wright & Saka , in a team that’s really going places .

If this player is the backup to Saka. It could be that Tavares is being considered as back up for a central forward position, especially if Godden leaves?

Hopefully. Tavares needs to play as a CF. He would be a great understudy to Simms, and when's the last time we had a CF with blinding pace?

Personally I’d rather try and ship him out and get some sort of fee for him if we can… or offer him to Peterborough in exchange for one of their players we are after

Chances are we'll bring in at least one striker to replace Godden. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tavares leave; albeit, he did look effective on the wing this season, so he could be a useful late in the game option there.

I love how there’s this belief that Peterborough would accept Godden or Tavares as a makeweight for one of their players…

Neither player fits into their model and in any case, doesn’t improve their team. Their current striker is a 21/22 year old who scored 10 goals last season and Poku is their RW.

Interestingly his club is currently involved in a spot fixing scandal over players deliberately collecting yellow cards in games. About 4 or 5 players involved it seems.

I don’t know how you get anything done. You’re attitude is constantly ‘if this happens then we may as well give up’.
Was going to say the same thing, full of joy. In the Browne thread he said about giving up.

He sounds like mum when I mistakenly thought an escape room would be a good family activity. 5 minutes in "we're never going to solve it, we might as well give up".
