Hussey crossing was awful, chrisitie is developing into an exceptional talent, considering he has played less than 10 games at this level his perfomances are unbelievable. I don't consider him a liability / weakness and is now probably a better RB than Keogh. Clingan was poor as was cody

When people were questioning why Andy Thorn saw Richard Keogh as a centre-back, I wonder how much of a part Cyrus Christie played in that thinking. Either way he (and Gael) look comfortably like they belong as first team players already.

Hussey's crossing yesterday was hit and miss. He played a couple of dangerous balls in at pace that caused problems, but he also over-hit a couple.

Keogh 6? I thought he was immense again - him and Cranie look so comfortable together in the middle. Just think if you're giving Cranie 7 Keogh should get the same.

Christie was quality, as was Bigirimana. The team looked like they were growing in confidence yesterday. Second half we were completely on top in my opinion. Derby maybe just shaded first half.

I must admit I would rate Dunn higher than Murphy. He made a brilliant save when he came on and, when dangerous balls came into the box, he held them comfortably.

Watch the highlights again. He left his man on a couple of occasions in the box that nearly led to goals. He's not strong/commanding enough in the air to be a centre back.

Murphy/Dunn - 7
Christie - 7
Keogh - 7
Craine - 7
Hussey - 7
Clingan - 7
Gael - 6 - Below average compared to his usual standards, gave the ball away a few times and looked indecisive.
Bell - 6
Baker - 6 - Lovely goal, great technique , but his all round performance was lacking, gave the ball away alot, and failed to use Hussey numerous times when he needed to move the ball on, best performance of the season from him, but a long way still to go.
Cody - 6 - Done ok, first touch was poor and was indecisive, needs to get match fit, but he certinaly looks like he'll be able to make the step up in standard.
Lukas - 7 - Should of scored with that header in the first half, was trying to link up the play with Cody, knocking down a few headers for him which he was unable to reach, forward line looks promising.

MOTM - Keogh, Vital blocks to keep a clean sheet and won the vital penalty.

The team are playing better but there were some defensive frailties which would of been punished by a better team. We dominated the game in the second half and deserved the win. :D

Anybody know when we were on the FL show, didn't watch it last night and don't fancy watching half the show to get to us.

But we didn't let any goals in. Others made mistakes in the game but they didn't lead to anything. In fact, in the first half I thought Sammy was awful, but he came good in second half. Point is, Keogh had, pretty much, a solid game. As solid as Cranie. He shouldn't get a lower mark than Cranie. In my opinion anyway.

Murphy-6 - Don't remember him having much to do in the first half
Christie-8-Defended well and got forward well, put some fantastic crosses into the box
Keogh-7-Defended brilliantly put in some great block tackles
Cranie-7-Looked calm and composed and made some great interceptions
Hussey-6-Defended well but didn't get far enough up the pitch and put in some poor crosses
Clingan-6-Did ok, holds us together in the middle of the park
Gael-6-Again did ok seemed to be looking to get forward a bit more than in previous matches
Bell-6-Ok game, still doesn't create enough for an attacking midfielder. Created a good chance for Juke but that was more through poor Derby defending than Bell's skill
Baker-7-Played well and took his goal well
Juke-7-Led the line well, great hold up play. Should have scored at least one more goal though.
Mcdonald-5-Didn't really get into the game much and don't remember him having any real chance to score

Dunn-7-Made a decent save and did all he had to with little fuss
O'donovan-6-Looked lively and certainly the best I have seen him play

it's okay saying he didn't let any goals in but that was down to that Shackell missing a really good chance of a header on goal rather than anything else. That is down to pure luck on Keogh's part. Do you wish to give him credit for letting opposition players getting clear cut chances on goal but them missing them?
