No one saying perfect just a bit better than shitYet we do have 2 boo boys judging by social media and hearing fans at games. Some of those are factual statements not criticisms. Of course you always defend the team so i wouldnt expect you to ever spot any poor performances even when warranted.
It is possible to be 4th in the league and still be able to spot things that are not perfect.
Amazing we have so many points when
Dabo can’t cross
Maatsen can’t defend
Hyam can’t pass
Fadz and JCS are too slow
Hamer can’t pass
Sheaf gives it away
Ohare can’t shoot
And Godden has no pace
Forgot Waghorn is overpaid
Sorry and Robins is too defensive***
Moore and Gyokeres seem ok at the moment
We haven’t got a boo boy we’ve a whole team of them
Because they're normally on the edge of our own box or in similar critical areas. It'd be interesting to see pass completion yesterday of Hamer compared to Sheaf. I suspect it'd be about similar but Sheaf's misplaced passes are the ones everyone highlights...
He needs a regular partner next to him, playing next to a different bloke each week cant be ideal. It's a tough one.Moore 7
Dabo 6
Hyam 6
Mcfadz 6
JCS 8 MOTM
Maatsen 8
Hamer 7
Sheaf 7
O’Hare 8
Godden 8
Gyokores 7
subs
Allen 7
Kelly 6
Walker 7
If people think Hamers playing below par then they really need to understand a couple of things with him and how he fits into our team. When he’s in the team he increases the passing tempo massively especially going forward compared to our other midfielders. This makes us a far more dangerous team switching from defence to attack. He is one step ahead of most of our team and because of this plays the ball where players should be or into space where they should be moving to. Because some aren’t at his level sometimes the ball looks wasted.

Both 80% completion yesterdayIt'd be interesting to see pass completion yesterday of Hamer compared to Sheaf. I suspect it'd be about similar but Sheaf's misplaced passes are the ones everyone highlights...
It’s interesting he seems to be repeating mistakesIf we are being brutally honest , the biggest difference between the 2 players passing yesterday were of the 20% not completed (going off stu stats ) sheaf DID misplace 3 or 4 in real silly areas , the one across the pitch the most noticeable which against a good side we really could have been punished .
His mistakes are definitely more glaring , people aren't making it up.
Its not slander , he needs to cut it out for the good of the team and his own confidence

Game time, experience and growthAnd THIS is what makes people focus on him more .
He's a repeat offender , it's fine saying his pass completion is 88% or whatever when some of the misplaced passes from the 12 % put us in the shit .
He's a talented lad but I don't know what goes through his head at times .. confidence maybe ?
Still we get better results with them 2 in the middle overall , so we must persist and hope it stops with more game time
Mate you can't say that about our Brazilian who cost a million. You'll get lynched!Hamer got a higher rating yesterday than sheaf on all the stat sites .
I thought both were below their best if I'm honest

Doesn't help when your number 10 has just 1 in his last 52 appearances. As good as O'Hare is, his goal return is nowhere near good enough.Well we need more goals from midfield no doubt
100% agree.
It’s a tricky thing pointing out any of Sheaf’s errors on this forum. There are one or two on here that will immediately pounce and point out some stat or other and say you’re “clueless” or that you aren’t astute enough to see that he has many invisible talents.
It’s a form of blatant virtue-signalling: “look at me, I’m standing up for Sheaf”. It’s not about Sheaf, it’s about them, and it’s a tad sad. They probably change their Facebook avatar to whichever flag represents the latest tragedy. It’s: “ look at me, look how caring I am”.
Anyway, I’ve pointed out on several occasions this season that Sheaf needs to sort out his retention and passing selection. He’s a good player with potential - no one is denying that; but there’s a simple question to ask: IF we make the playoffs and sneak it into the Prem, is Sheaf good enough as is? I say no, not until he sorts out his retention and passing choice.
For the record, never boo’d or slagged Sheaf at a match. Might have rolled my eyes and shook my head, but booing - no.
Don’t @ me with stats. Stats don’t tell the whole story.

This isnt down to individual performances though, it's down to tactics. For me, hamer should be doing better. That's all I'm saying. Yes he's busy, energetic and I'd want him playing every game. I personally think yesterday we let Hull over run us and in midfield he, nor sheaf stamped their authority on the match once we went 1 up. Anyone who watched yesterday will know we did enough to beat a piss poor team but is it a crime to want more from one of our players?
Whilst I'm at it we need more from o hare as well
You warming to maatsen yet?

Sheaf could be really good he just needs to switch on a bit. Whether he will learn to do that I don't know. That is all.
Mmmmm criminalWhat i find infuriating with him is that as soon as he makes sloppy pass his head gos down and he doesnt bust a gut to get back and retrieve it.
The blackburn 2nd goal he didnt bother running back if he did he could or should i say should have stopped their 2nd goal.
Criminal to not try to get back.
Mmmmm or hmmmm?Mmmmm criminal
BothMmmmm or hmmmm?
I think we are better with him than Sam simply because we need all the attacking intent we can get in a wing back system.I like him, look hes the best we could have hoped for after Sam left. Hes inconsistant but thats expected at his age. Hes learning all the time.
Mastsen played well yesterday after a few average games. He offers more than McCallum going forward.I think we are better with him than Sam simply because we need all the attacking intent we can get in a wing back system.
We are getting better at it but last season we didn't have much offence outside strikers bar o hare and dabo it felt like alot of the time.
Now maatsen hamer sheaf all getting in final third alot more. Good signs

Dabo desperately needs to work on his crossing though.

The estate agent who sold out house is a League 1 and 2 assistant referee. (Lino!). He said that Godden was the hardest player to catch because his movement is so clever. Just a thought!View attachment 22479Just watch Goddens movement and instinct. He’s on the move before the ball even comes in.
It’s hard to tell whether the defender is trying to play offside or whether it’s Goddens little step to the left that drawers him out and then Godden runs in behind him. Either way, he’s such an intelligent mover in those situations.
