yes I do but I think he’s a show pony who makes nowhere near assists and nowhere near enough goals for what we pay him - others do - that’s it really

I'm not sure how you can watch that game today and think the issue lies with Palmer.
Exposed down both wings, fucking about at the back.
I agree O'Hare walks straight back in but that's a side issue to today's shit show.

Some amazing scores on here. Real Rorschach stuff. Also plus the Sakamoto playing wingback denialism into my veins 😆

Palmer is so good on the ball at times and can beat numerous players, sometimes his decision making is odd but generally when he’s at it he’s a very good player. Shame he can last even close to 90 mins.

Wright I thought was very good today.

I obviously saw a different game to Sick Boy and some others. I simply can't see how he marked Bidwell higher than Dasilva.

Overall a very mixed performance. Watford are a decent team and we were a bit lucky to get a point. Their first goal was excellent, stemming from a great pass from midfield. Their second was a great finish but poor goal to concede. As for the third, disastrous defending from Thomas again.

Wilson 7 - difficult to mark. A couple of dodgy moments but had no chance with any of the goals and made some sharp saves.

MvE 8 - now we're talking. MOTM just eclipsing Dasilva. Good goal although was the keeper at fault? Looks a great player now he's up to speed and exactly what I expected when we signed him.

Dasilva 8 - thought he was also outstanding. Won the penalty and a constant threat. We lost a lot when he went off.

Thomas 4 - a shocker. Reminded me of McNally against Stoke and Bidwell at West Brom. Should have made a challenge for their second and disastrous for the third. Most of the goals we have conceded this season have been due to his defending. Not convinced by him.

McFadzean 7 - solid again and made some great challenges but unnecessary booking.

Latibeaudiere 7 - not as good as last match but still impressive.

Sheaf 8 - excellent. Almost Middlesbrough match level.

Eccles 6 - some decent things but generally struggled today. First below par performance this season. Booking was a joke. He was caught although it wasn't a penalty.

Palmer 6 - flashes of good play and excellent tackling but needs sometimes to do the simple thing. Not his best game.

Wright 7 - some really good play, some disappointing. At times looked like Gyokeres and at others like Waghorn.

Godden 6 - another difficult one to mark. Missed the penalty and some other mistakes but kept battling and took the goal well.

Subs:

Bidwell 5 - we lost impetus going forward on the left and he kept giving the ball away.

Ayari 5 - one great piece of skill but otherwise worryingly not involved. Not impressed so far.

Sakamoto 7 - lively, one excellent pass.

Simms 7 - by far his best display so far. I think being left out of the starting line up has taken the pressure off and I feel encouraged by this performance albeit short.

One other thing, this was the first match I was able to attend this season in my new season ticket seats in block 16 and my bloody word there is an absolute COCK sat next to me. Screaming at the top of his voice to take Eccles off after 3 minutes, Fadz off for being too old, Wright off for being useless, Sheaf off for being totally shit and left when Watford scored their 3rd in what, the 78th minute or whenever. Wonder how long until I lump the twat.

He hates dasilva cos his master is a fan of bidwell so he needs to put down anyone else in his position.

Eccles did what he did in the last game. A bit of a Jamie vardy tumble but does not cover it so well. Needs to remove that from his game

I thought Eccles had his best game for us against Sunderland (or at least until the 75th minute), I thought he was utterly hopeless today, some people only giving him one below sheaf is madness. We desperately need Ayari to be capable in that role cuz a midfield of Eccles and sheaf is not gonna cut it.

Tbh I always thought Sick Boy was an alternate Grendel account. Something very odd about it.
Yes, a 60 year old man has made an alt account pretending to be a 30-something man living in Italy.

Much more odd than someone pretending to have two people using his account or someone else pretending to be Croatian.

Wilson - Distribution shocking, and that third goal, I mean I ask you.

Back 3 - very uncoordinated. Two goals from the pocket behind the wing back and one almighty cock up.

Wing backs - Van Ewik is a real find. Da Silva I am not sure why we wanted him so desperately; totally at fault for their first

Midfield - outnumbered mainly. Not sure why Eccles is getting such a bad crit, as I thought he fought hard for the ball and if anything it was Sheaf's lack of creativity that was the problem as it threw everything onto Palmer. Palmer seemed to feel he had to produce a trick in order to break free, but they rarely came off. It would help him if he could find a way of shooting anywhere other than straight at the goalkeeper.

Godden. Is a problem. He has such an eye for an opportunity, particularly by just hanging back. But his support play for an outnumbered midfield is minimal. He is a line leader being forced to play in a new role late in his career. Answers on a postcard to M Robins, c/o The CBS Arena

Wright. A real handful, if a little slow. With someone like him available the quick clearance is always likely to lead to something. The third goal was all down to him.

The main mitigation is that only Wilson, MacFadz, and Sheaf were automatic choices last season. 2/10 outfield players
