Murphy 7 - bombarded all day and did well

Christie 5 - linked up with baker just once during the whole game says it all really

Martin 6 - likes to play out from the back apparently...

Cameron 6 - great right up until the 84th min

Dickinson 3 - Get rid fucking shit

Bailey 4 - non existent

Jennings 3 - just not good enough

Baker 4 - He bottled it

Moussa 6 - good goal, but can't do anything if we don't keep the ball and try to pass it

Macca 5 - ineffectual

Clarke 7 - worked hard and tried to play flicks and knock downs but got poor service all day

We didn't pass the ball at all today, very reminiscent of the Boothroyd days. They weren't much better...maybe the decision to play when it snowed has backed fired, well played groundsman

Think I would up Clarke to a 6' downgrade Sheff to a 4 and maybe Cameron to a 3. One of the worst Centre Half displays I have ever seen. But he team today played in the fashion of the manager. Sit back do as little running as possible. Simply not good enough.

Clarke didn't win a header all game , granted he was quite isolated but not very helpful . He didn't do anything to justify a six for me

aaron martin had the single worse centre back display i have ever seen in my entire life. proffessional footballer?!?... how he is achieving ratings over anything above 2 is beyond me. awful player. Southampton signed him from Eastleigh fc. non league seems to be his level

You mean apart from when The goalie changed direction to make a great save? That header........he did win headerS trouble was no one was anywhere near him.Clarke was one of the better players after Murphy! PUSB

Just not good enough. Didnt once look to play through the midfield like we did under Robins. I mean whats the point of having moussa drop off behind clarke if we're not going to try and knock it about? Also the two centre backs were just plain embarrassing! Fair play to swindon though they play football the right way.

He was a class above Cameron! Did everything that was asked of him. Don't see how you think he was worse than Cameron!

To summarise we were shite and Swindon were probably the best team to come to the Ricoh this season, the gulf was embarrassing. The Swindon players were about 2/3 seconds faster than us. The game reminded me of the first half at Spurs.

Need a manager in early next week and NOT CARSLEY

You don't have to argue with every tiny thing I'm saying mate. And that wasn't winning a header, it was a great cross from baker right at him. Fact is Clarke didn't hold the ball up all game, it was just one of many poor performances today.

And I'm not a clarke hater at all, he jumps about 5 seconds too early for every header.

Both centre halves were shocking... Baker, Bailey, Jennings and Macca only faired just a tad better....Cyrus wasn't that bad I didn't think(relative) Dicko OK, Clarke(Leon) ran a loan furrow up front.. but had little quality ball and when he did was thwarted by a great save. Murphy was steady.. didn't quite see his part in their first goal? Moose OK.. probably the pick of a terrible midfield team display.

That said we were completely outplayed by a better team, we are disappointed but sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say the best team won.

Did you not see Cameron?

Bearing in mind this was the kids second game for the club i don't think he was that bad. When I say 'that bad' i mean not half as bad as Cameron.

None of the midfielders came away with any credit. Baker put in a few good crosses but if they come to nothing, they're pretty pointless.

I thought Moussa and Clarke linked up well first half but were pretty isolated second half so Swindon must have change their game plan.

Murphy 7 - MOTM for me
Christie 6 - best defender for us, but that wasnt difficult
Martin 5 - difficult game for a home debut. Poor communication between him and Cameron. Didnt really set the world alight but can't write him off
Cameron 3 - think its clear i thought he was dreadful (again). Nothing else needed to be said.
Dickinson 5 - got forward well but defensively he worries me. Same old story with left backs we have.
Bailey 4 - very poor again by his standards. Chickened (is that a word?) out of too many challenges, not half as good as ive seen him play this season.
Baker 5 - few good crosses (made a change from shooting at every opportunity) but lead to nothing the majority of the time.
Moussa 6 - by far our most creative player and took his goal well. Linked up well with Clarke.
Jennings 5 - very mediocre again today. Another one who didnt challenge enough. Headed the ball a few times when he should have played with his feet. Seems to be going backwards in ability......
Sheff 5 - OK first half, but second half he disappeared out the game. Didnt run at their full back half as much as he should have second half. Made space for himself but players seemed to not want to pass to him.
Clarke 6 - once again seemed to isolated on his own. Needs to put more effort into heading balls, although that said he doesn't get much help around him, or the officials! Amount of times he gets knocked about and it goes unnoticed

4 5's and a 1 in there, I think that's fair. The most important players on the pitch are the midfield and the utter failure there pretty much cost us the game. Carsley gets a "2" for sticking 10 men behind the ball from kick-off!

Honestly thought that was Leon's best performance for us..ironic that he didn't score when he actually played well!

I also think a lot of fans are far too harsh on Cameron and that Martin is miles ahead of any CB we've had this season!

Murphy 8 - relentless, fantastic, kept us in it.
Christie 6 - good game in defence, going forward offered little though, crossing is a problem.
Martin 5 - sometimes shaky, sometimes solid, he was ok and looks a decent signing, better than Cam and Edj anyway, which isn't hard tbh.
Dickinson 3 - my mate gave him a 2, he was shit, I think Hussey is better than him tbh. Can't defend, can't attack, gives the ball away, didn't help Sheff, utterly awful. Fuck off back to Watford!
Baker 5 - not good at all, looks jaded
Bailey 5 - went hiding, but can't remember him doing any good, or particularly bad things tbh.
Jennings 4 - incredibly frustrating to watch, would do something good, then just gave the ball away, far too sloppy today, looked jaded also.
Moussa 6 - only half decent midfielder today, well took goal.
McSheff 4 - before got the assist, he gave the ball away stupidly, which set the tone really, after that, nothing but giving the ball away, weak defending. Tbf, Dickinson isn't helping him. I counted 1 good cross in 90m. If he's got an injury, why is he playing!
Clarke 6 - denied a goal by a great save, save of the match by far, held it up well and is looking increasingly better.

Subs:
Bell - 5 didn't, on for a fair while, seen nothing.
Cody N/A - pointless, reactionary sub by Carsley.

Carsley 3 - spot on to start with, however, his naivity cost us when the time to freshen up had passed, then he brought on Cody, a testimony to him not being ready.

Murphy 6 - Decent performance behind a dodgy back 4. Began to lose concentration & get anxious towards the end.
Christie 6 - Average game
Martin 5 - Reasonable game. Quick to put the ball into touch & invite pressure though.
Cameron 1 - Laughably poor 1st half. Only gets on due to a slightly less poor 2nd half. Should've been sent off (or at least subbed after 45 mins!).
Dickinson 4 - Wasteful when in possesion. Average in defence.
Baker 4 - Non existent
Bailey 3 - Stood off tackles and generally very poor.
Jennings 5 - Dragged out of position trying to cover Bailey. Panicked everytime when gaining the ball.
McSheffrey 4 - Poor. Kept cutting inside only to constantly lose possesion & invite counter attacks.
Moussa 6 - Took goal well. Reasonable performance but midfield sat too deep to really be effective
Clarke 6 - Held ball up well & did everything asked of him. Rest of the team too poor around him to provide any real opportunities for him to test their keeper.

Murphy - 8 great saves, great performance
Cyrus 6 - decent, nothing special but solid. Couple of mistakes but one of the better players today
Cameron 4 - Awful. Poor marking, at fault for a lot of Swindon chances, including the open goal in the 1st half
Martin 5 - some good blocking int he 2nd half, but still poor. Not impressed. Sooner Wood gets back the better
Dicko 6 - solid, but nothing special solid. Some good runs and linked well with Sheffers sometimes but nothign special
Baker - 5 did dodgy today. Tried a bit too hard tbh and he wasnt as good as he has been this season
Jenno 4 - Awful, made some ok challenges but didnt help when we were getting bombarded in the 2nd and f*cked up some passes and possesion
Bailey 6 - ok, some decent passing and movement, nothing special but one of the better players
Moussa 8 - MOTM for me. Instigated the few attacking moves we had during the game, scored the goal, set up some chances, defo MOTM
Sheffers 5 - better, but still not great, decent crossing but weak when it comes to being challenged by the Swindon players
Clarke 6 - helped out a lot in midfield and even defence, basically did Jennings job for him

Subs: Came way way way too late. Carsley needs to work on his subs and timing. Reminds me of Thorn when it comes to making subs
Bell 5 didnt see much of him, his passing was little off but totally understandable after his long lay off
Cody n/a dont think he had more than 3 touches of the ball

Theres 4 7+ ratings in there though. I thought only Murphy was a 7 with Moussa and Clarke around a 6. I though Clarke had a good game but the service was shite all game and he was feeding off scraps

I stick to my original point, the midfield were apalling, gave no service to Moussa as well as Leon-I thought Moussa was our brightest outlet on the counter and did a few other good things whilst not being a passenger like Bailey or giving the ball away as often as Baker or Jennings or the full-backs. If your midfield and full-backs are that bad, it doesn't matter how well Martin or Murphy play. And Martin won 5 or 6 tackles he had no right to superbly. Cameron also made a lot of blocks and headers that me and my brother must have imagined..he's MILES better than Wood!
