As I just said above, that mistake changed the game. The saves he made after he probably wouldn't have had to make if he hadn't made that initial mistake.I just can't understand this thing against Burge. Yes, he could have done better for the first goal, but he was also let down by the marking, couldn't do anything about the second goal, made a brilliant save 1 v 1 when it was still 2 -1. Yet Shipley scores an 8.5/7 when he was guilty of giving the ball away several times and his crossing was poor.
Our crossing all night was not good, and the header that JCH had towards the end was powder-puff at best - we haven't really looked dangerous at crossing/heading all season.

Agree on Grimmer. On that one goal he should have showed the player inside and not let him go down the left and get the cross in beyond him.Grimmer at fault for first and second goal.
Needless free kick putting Burge and the defence in a position they didn’t need to be and didn’t close for the second like numerous other costly losses this year. Cambridge for one.
As for Reid, go look at their 3 crosses then remove the 60 degree lob wedge boots you wear. JCH rose at the end to head the ball but it had no pace so he cannot get anything on it towards goal.
Whilst we have limited choices, the substitutes weaken us but I know Bayliss was out on his feet and Shipley probably still injured. Kelly booked straight away and therefore ineffectual in what he was put on to do.
The criticism of Burge was clearly down to that mistake though surely?Burge 7, dont understand the criticism, think hes been very good last 4 games. The setiece delivery from Luton for luton were excellent. Superb saves, albeit a mistake.
Grimmer 5, going forward good, but defensively awful.
Mcdonald 8, thought he was back to his commanding best.
Hyam, 7, did ok commendable, still rather have Wilis.
Haynes, 7 Very good going forward, at fault for their equaliser, but his best performance for me.
Shipley 8, Very solid all round.
Doyle 8 motm.
Bayliss 6, not at his best, but definitely his best position.
Vincenti, 7, would have been higher but tiredbadly.
Jch, 7, his best game holding the game up,
McNulty, 7 not quite at his best last few games stilla huge menace.
Reid, 6
Kelly, 5
Robins 8, commendable attacking line up. Amd continuing to surge forward untill game was over.
Easily one of the best games we seen at ricoh this season. Two teams for me who wanted to play football.
My first impression was that it was a brilliant cross, curling away from the keeper but close enough to tease him to come out for it, so not entirely burges mistake. But I haven't seen a replay yet so I may change my mind. The criticism of Burge was clearly down to that mistake though surely?
He didn't have a bad game at all besides, but that mistake changed the game and therefore to my mind he has to be scored lower.
Be exactly the same if a defender gave away a stupid penalty.
The trajectory was brilliant, is started off straight at him which is what tempted him to come out but curled so much it was virtually going straight down the line of the 6 yard box. That said, even though it curled late he still got there but also misjudged the height. Plenty of daylight between him and the ball there still. My first impression was that it was a brilliant cross, curling away from the keeper but close enough to tease him to come out for it, so not entirely burges mistake. I thought their crossing was superb, where as ours bar 1 was shocking.

McDonald is there but hidden by Burge and Rod has a lot to blame for the set up of the free kick which was really ugly - McDonald is the only one actually marking his man (downward black arrow) but playing everyone else onside by 2 yards. JCH also a yard too deep and lets his man (red arrow and goalscorer) get a run on him, needs to be closer and holding him up there. Haynes is ball watching and his man is behind him (horizontal black arrow), presumably he thinks the defensive line is good. Vincenti also the wrong side of his man.Why are there 3 Luton players lined up at the back post and only 2 Sky Blue defenders?
Collins was always going on Haynes , all game. Paid off for him at the end. Their set plays are always nothing short of very good. Got lucky with disallowedgoal too.Why are there 3 Luton players lined up at the back post and only 2 Sky Blue defenders?
He did use all three subs though didn't he? Ponticelli, Reid and Kelly.I Think possibly Robins one criticism was not using his third substitute.
Stokes for Haynes, but saying that Haynes almost amends by scoring at the death.
Or bring on Barrat for Vincenti. As Vincenti was leaving Grimmer exposed during 2nd half.
Thought someone put a still up last night that clearly showed the player offside.Collins was always going on Haynes , all game. Paid off for him at the end. Their set plays are always nothing short of very good. Got lucky with disallowedgoal too.
JP was in 89th minute once they equalised. Much sooner hardly time to have any impact. But still in that 3/4 looked lively. Should have have been made 20 mins earlier. He did use all three subs though didn't he? Ponticelli, Reid and Kelly.
I thought their keeper was their motmThey're second and I thought their keeper had a shocker, I'm not sure what people expect in this league.
Ah, just picked up on you saying he didn't use the three subs.JP was in 89th minute once they equalised. Much sooner hardly time to have any impact. But still in that 3/4 looked lively. Should have have been made 20 mins earlier.
He certainly had a shocker for our 2 goals! Should be dealing with Bayliss' shot much better than he did for the first. Shot was clean but straight at him from his weaker foot. He has 3 options - catch it, palm it over the bar or round the post. Instead he limp wrists it and it drops inside the 6 yard box still. As for the 2nd, if a keeper is beaten by a free kick on his side of the goal that barely gets off the floor and bounces before it goes in, then he should expect a bollocking. They're second and I thought their keeper had a shocker, I'm not sure what people expect in this league.
He was very poor and let so much go.We were also lucky with our second, we only got the free kick because McNulty stood on the ball and fell over. Another appalling performance by the officials, the linesman not seeing the Luton player kick the ball out on the side towards the end is possibly the most incompetent thing I've ever seen.

Yeah, that pushing was ridiculous. It was always just a little nudge in the back, but very clearly apparent to everyone in the ground.Yeah, at the time it didn't look like a free kick as McNulty stood on the ball.
I didn't think it was a foul for them for their 1st so it levelled it.
All game though the 3 officials were shocking, the goal kick incident was just as incompetent. In the first half that lino missed about 4 offsides, every ball we played forward their defenders would push our strikers and Vincenti with 2 hands and it took about 6 or 7 of those before it was noticed.

Looked like we were marking zonally rather than man to manMcDonald is there but hidden by Burge and Rod has a lot to blame for the set up of the free kick which was really ugly - McDonald is the only one actually marking his man (downward black arrow) but playing everyone else onside by 2 yards. In the build up Hyam, our 4th choice CB, is the only person visibly organising and ushering players out, totally ignored.
