do you really think they'll ask for that much? Or should I say do you not think they'll settle for a lot less because initially they're bound to ask for something ludicrous, it's the nature of them.
As a basic concept it makes sense to own both - the stadium in use twice for a high number of weekends, equals twice the revenue. There's sharing of other facilities too. Plus, if we were taken over by a company willing to invest, there's lots more money to made with Coventry than Wasps, predominantly linked to the money associated with the two sports. Finally, CCFC are in a trough, so to an investor we can only go one way. Arguably Wasps are already at (or at least very close to) their peak.
I appreciate there are lots more complexities and caveats than the basic argument outlined above, but I still believe an independent investor would see benefit in owning both.
Because they would lose all their money they invested , how much have SISU lost ....
I don't need to be bold to make the statement , it's all there for any mug to see.
Yep. I'm not interested either. Not going to even entertain the thought. Not interested, got too built up with the rumour pre Christmas. Until something is signed I don't want to think about it. The will descend into another pointless sisu argument anyway
Don't believe it, but would be kinda funny if the factor that finally got rid of Sisu and brought investment in was Wasps being here. A few heads would explode around here.
So what about all the other teams they've invested in, do you think they're making money off of them?
Hopefully one day soon a rumour like this might turn out to be true.
The Buffs club is on the Market.Would be good to have a Sky Blue pub wouldn't it? The Rowleys Green would be perfect.
Definitely, they run them as a advertising franchise, Formula one well what more do I need to say on that, it's high profile, the air racing again high profile,
Do you think a L 3 team would command the same amount of PR and advertising for a brand ?
Can you give me a sensible reason why they would buy COV ?
Would make a nice supporters club place. Club should buy it and utilise it for functions and weddings and parties etc.The Buffs club is on the Market.
Already a Skyblue vibe about it.

No, but a few years ago I wouldn't have been able to give you a sensible reason why they would buy German division 5 Leipzig. Maybe the large catchment area, but that also applies to City.

Not sure, without checking the facts first, but I'm probably right in assuming that Leipzig didn't have a decrepit, black hole in the financial department, and serious cuntage in the boardroom.I will check though, just to be sure.
To quote Wikipedia (just checked): "Leipzig was considered a most favorable place for an investment. The potential for establishing a new club in Leipzig seemed huge."
Call me dense, but it seems Red Bull Leipzig was FOUNDED, rather than taken over. This is actually news to me.
I like your thoughts if it were based on even parity of revenue ( gate receipts , 3rd party sponsors etc ) as it stands your flip flop every week would see yes with the egg catchers a healthy amount of income and advertising and merchandise. The next week hungry fans deprived of pies and entertaining football in even if we stay in L3 .
It would not run at a profit, in fact not many Premier clubs run at a profit.
We are nothing to do with Wasps and for one I am happy with that.
Because I with the right kind of investment to become a club challenging for a European place or reach the FA Cup final reaps rewards...& valuable relatively cheap advertising Worldwide! And all along the way - they have at least doubled their income from the CCFC of the stadium from increased crowds (remember CCFC potential?) Rather than a small-fry rental agreementDefinitely, they run them as a advertising franchise, Formula one well what more do I need to say on that, it's high profile, the air racing again high profile,

One of the issues a new stadium owner may face is the naming on the Arena itself. How long has the RICOH name got before that contract expires ? Still doubtful that this rumour will pan out.
From Eurosports Football pages, a different take on the founded/taken over issue:
"Chances are you haven’t heard of SSV Markranstädt, but it’s in the German fifth tier where the tale begins.
Energy drink superpower Red Bull waded in and bought the club’s licence, stripped the entire club of its character – from the badge to the nickname (creatively changed to ‘The Red Bulls) – and set out their ambitious philosophy for new side Leipzig: reach the Bundesliga in eight years.
They did it in seven."
The new Leicester City? Who are Bundesliga pacesetters RB Leipzig?

A bit more to report
Apparently it's a takeover, Venus will be gone as they want there own man in with some cash. Stumbling block is the ground as the council are holding out for more than is being offered
I believe wasps are not the stumbling block
It will be a major investment
Start praying

With the emphasis on the can.I saw Malaka drinking a Red Bull. Can only mean one thing.
To me, if we want to put ourselves in the 'shop window' for a buyer (anyone), then we must get to Wembley.
Nothing would show the potential of Cov more than 40k of us there.
